Hello, and welcome to the all new Secret Santa! Nothing bad happened last year, so we're here again to spread cheer for the season!

Schedule
Signups begin as soon as the thread is posted. Signups end on Thursday, November 24, American Thanksgiving, as soon as soon as Santa appears on the Macy's Parade, so around noon. You will get your assignments during the Cowboy's game, so around 4-5 pm EST. You will have two weeks to get presents out. Your presents should be sent out by December 9th. If you have not received a gift by January 13th, contact me and I will make things happen.

The Rules

You must have a full year of posting, so a regdate of December 2015 or farther back.
You must provide a link to a thread in ADTRW that you post in regularly in your sign up post.
If you don't send a gift, you will receive a month's probation and a redtext telling everyone about your grinchy ways.
Recommended price range for store bought items is $15-$20. Feel free to spend more or less if your gift is good. This does not apply to homemade items like paintings, crafts, short stories or music.
Most of all, before you send something, ask yourself, "if the roles were reversed, would I accept this gift?" If you cannot in good conscious say yes, do not send that gift.

Signing up
If you want to sign up, follow this format. If you don't you won't get a gift and no one wants that.

Your forums name.
Whether you want to ship international. This means if you are willing to ship to a country outside of your area. When you sign up put which continent you live on (if it's North America put the country). You will be given assignments based on your location. This will be your version of domestic shipping.
A link to the thread you're a contributor to.
What are your favorite Japan things? It can be anything as long as it's Japan related.
What things do you want to receive? What things don't you want to receive? Be specific! This could mean the difference between a good gift and a crappy gift. Make sure you mention if you are ok with 18+ stuff or alcohol.
Non-anime/toku things you are interested in.
Other things you think are necessary, like shirt size or food allergy.

I'm in the US and would prefer to stick to the US for shipping, but I'd be willing to go international if it's necessary to make things work out.

I like lots of anime. Some of my favorites in no particular order: Utena, Madoka, Kaiba, Card Captor Sakura, Gurren Lagann. Lately I've been really into Love Live, Haikyuu, and Euphonium. I read manga too, but not as much lately for some reason. I like to cosplay and love fanart. I'm beginning to get into the Atelier series, but otherwise JRPGs are usually not my thing. I will fight anyone, even Knorth, for the title of Biggest Fan of Cute Things.
Including my MAL is a good idea. My manga updates lists too, why not, though I haven't done much with that in a while and never rated anything.
I think I'm pretty open to most gift things! 18+ is fine, booze is fine. I more-or-less know Japanese, so JP-language things are fine.
I enjoy history, map games, board games, sewing, cooking, and cocktails.
My shirt size is US M/JP L. Keep any food things meat-free and egg-free (milk is OK, but when is doubt, vegan is a good choice).

D. Favorite series have been Dog Days, Spice and Wolf, Madoka and fate/*anything but the terrible illya spinoff* mostly. OPM/MP100 was was amazing as well.

E. I'm fine with pretty much anything, as long as it's not basically porn. I don't drink at all either. Already have all the released Spice and Wolf manga.
F. Space/technology is a big thing for me.I love animals as well, particularly foxes. Play a lot of games as well, Steam. Been trying to learn Japanese but don't really have much to go with right now

D. JRPGs like Disgaea, Tales, Final Fantasy, and Fire Emblem were my biggest sources of Japan for a long stretch. I watch a shitload of anime and read a shitton of manga now. Uhhhh, some of my favorite series are Katanagatari, Haikyuu, Zatch Bell, and Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer. Oh Odin Sphere and #FE are my top anime games of this year.
E. Something small that could go on a desk or like a piece of art that I could frame and hang would be super cool. I also like patterned socks a LOT. Something I can wear would be nice and I promise to take a picture of me in it (I'll take a picture of whatever you send me). ~~18+ is fine but I'd probably laugh at it and never pull it out for company to see. Alcohol is fine but I can honestly buy that for myself if I really want it.~~ actually just don't get me either of those
F. I like outdoorsy poo poo and working out. Cooking is fun and so is reading books. Oh and listening to music and petting dogs (please don't send me a live dog)

I love streaming.
I'm big into fujo shows like Gintama and Haikyuu!!, and I also like Natsume Yuujinchou a lot. Here's my MAL. Anything I rate 8+ you can assume I really like. For games, I like Ace Attorney, the Megami Tensei franchise, Etrian Odyssey, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and a bunch of other JRPGs.
I'm very shy, so I'd prefer nothing too flashy if it's like a shirt or something I would show off in public. Preferably no 18+ stuff unless it's like a brief scene in a _BL manga. No spicy food or any alcohol/drugs stuff please. I live in Hawaii, so don't send me stuff like heavy coats.
I'm in grad school for astronomy, and I like any general nerdy science/math stuff.
Unisex M for shirt size, probably L for a women's cut. I don't have a DVD player and the only game console I have regular access to is my (nu) 3DS.

anime/manga obviously, though i definitely lean more towards anime. this year i've discovered an intense love for Haikyuu (especially Oikawa) and am a perennial Masaaki Yuasa and Kenji Nakamura fan. i'll go ahead and copy Squark by linking my MAL page. i really like yokai, though i've barely put time into reading about them outside of anime/manga. japanese music is awesome too, specifically genres like bossa nova and shibuya-kei, or artists like gesu no kiwami otome.
i can't think of anything to really exclude. alcohol and/or foods are fine and i'm okay with adding to my collection of anime tchotchkes. it's kinda lame but the past few years people irl have given me some quirky fridge magnets, which are fun. i also have basically zero cool art (anime or otherwise), which kinda bugs me.
i like to bake and occasionally play video games. Also a fan of musical theatre and comedy (the latter mostly via podcasts like 2 Dope Queens, Never Not Funny, Spontaneation etc).

Mechs and things with mechs on or in them (including plamo), snacks/drinks we don't get in Europe, cute slice of life manga/shows, cute romance manga/shows (the more saccharine the better, shoujo/josei/yuri/BL are all good as long as they're cute ). If I had to list my favourite shows, they would probably be (in no order): Turn-A Gundam, Shirobako, Seirei no Moribito, Hyouka, Yamato 2199 and Flying Witch.
Want: things pertaining to mechs and other mechanical things (ships/planes/whatever!), snacks/drinks we don't get in Europe, booze (no beer, though!), cute things, books in a language I can read (English or French). Don't want: lewd things (unless they're cute romance manga that happen to also be slightly lewd)!
Pen and paper RPGs/boardgames, fountain pens/ink, whiskey, sci-fi and fantasy, cyberpunk stuff, books about history and politics from everywhere around the world, Final Fantasy 14 (the MMO), fighting games even though I'm terrible at them, Doom 1/2, post-rock/prog metal/djent/chiptunes/retrowave music.
Shirt size: European 2XL. No allergies, but I'm not a fan of cheese or seafood, not that I'm expecting anyone to send either of those things to me through the post.

I should mention I have all of Gundam: The Origin in print, just because individual volumes of that make for super nice gifts and are near the secret santa price range.

I mostly like slice of life stuff and comedies. you can check out my MAL if you want. Nichijou is my #1! I don't have any manga collection, but I don't mind starting one. I also have a soft spot for Full Metal Alchemist.
I'd love to get a nendoroid! Weird food and candy is also my jam, even if it isnt japanese i'm down to try anything. Shirts are great too. I like pins as well. I'm fine with alcohol, but please no 18+ stuff, as I do live with other people.
Kirby is my favorite video game series! I do papercrafting every once in a while. Cooking stuff is great too, but do keep in mind that I have basically every asian spice known to man. Cool electronic music is good too.

I like all sorts of anime and manga, in particular comedies and drama. I'm interested in Japanese cuisine, especially sweets. Figurines, especially Figma and Nendo, are cool. Any good Non-fiction talking about the history of Japan is cool, from Shinto mythology to modern day history. Ninjas and Samurais are neat, too.
Cute Figmas/Nendos are always appeciated. Keychains and wallets are good. Good Novels and other books/Mangas/doujins are appreciated, though nothing part of a long running series, Alcohol is fine, Porn is not. No clothes, please.
Autobiographies, fancy hankrchiefs, cool belts/Pins (Not of any western franchises, though), cat toys, music, especially Jazz.

~ One Punch Man has to be my favorite thing out of Japan atm. Anything OPM related, even if it's a poster or a figurine you put in your car that you watch bounce. Having said that I am happy with anything, including food from your country.
~ trying to be a programmer, currently a PhD student. I love ultimate frisbee. If you send an anime related frisbee disc.. that would be awesome. I will also enjoy gag gifts, or 18+ gifts or gifts that make you think "WTF?! this is just odd".
~ Don't send any unprocessed fruit or food. Australia has strict importation laws and I'd hate for your efforts to go to waste. General rule is: if it's packaged and processed it's ok to send.
