I've ripped monster's limbs off and smacked them with it. I've grabbed a demon's jaws in both hands and torn his head apart. The melee kill system is pretty nifty (and the animations change depending on where you're aiming and relative positions).

Also using the chainsaw showers you in ammo for your guns and gory melee kills give you health, so it really encourages getting up close and personal and constantly moving.

You can execute 3 or 4 of the enemy commanders in Suikoden. Usually you miss out on a recruitable character, and there's no benefit, but the game just straight up lets you do it.

You can also win a duel that seems like it's supposed to be impossible, and you have to do so to get and keep all the characters.

Suikoden 1-3 are cool.

What I want to point out here is the "LOST CAT" poster. The cat's name is Pixel. I thought this was a reference to Heinlein's novel The Cat Who Walks Through Walls (Pixel is the eponymous cat -- he can walk through walls because he's too young to know it's impossible). Turns out it's actually a shoutout to one of the developers' cats. The more you know. (shrug)

Yeah, it's a super dark game. That was at the default darkness setting. I made some more screencaps after raising the brightness, but it's still pretty dark.

Hopefully none of these have NSFW images in them but it's a little hard to tell sometimes.

I mean, a dong is just a dong? I dunno. I can link it if people think it's a problem. Pretty sure my Shadow Warrior screenshots were worse.

Anyway the game itself is pretty chill. You just play minigames* (solo or multiplayer) to earn money units, then blow those on furniture/clothing, then decorate your house, repeat.

*Currently playable games far as I can tell:
Virus (a FPS thing that plays kind of like one of the modes from Timepslitters)
Minigolf
Bowling (physics are currently hilariously janky)
Trivia
Panic Planet which no one ever plays so I dunno wtf it is
Typing Derby, some kind of competitive speed typing thing
Some kind of Monkey Ball-esque deal
several different Casino games, most of which you can essentially always make money on as long as you keep playing them for long enough. Or just spam stand on blackjack, that usually gives a profit too.
Oh and there's a Ferris Wheel if that counts, and the theatre where you can play poo poo from youtube.

There's a lot of "coming soon" areas like laser tag, an arcade with skeeball and such, bumper cars, a nightclub, and a roller coaster. If and when this poo poo gets done, who knows!
