I really wanted Nelson Agholor to be a Chief, also thought Jon Baldwin was a great draft pick, thought Dontari Poe was going to suck

KC needs a ILB, OG, RB, WR, QB, DT

That's in order of need, you could shuffle the last 4 around but Chiefs need a starting ILB and OG immediately

after some thought:

1. ILB
2. OG
3. QB
4. DT
5. RB
6. WR

I'm craving a strong, brutal ILB that can shed blocks and chase down ballcarriers like a demon. Must also be good in coverage. Who is the best man?

I wouldn't mind if the Chiefs took McCaffrey if he falls to them in the 1st

Chris Conley as a physical specimen is as freaky as they come, his combine results are mind blowing. He also made a ton of really tough catches last year. I feel like if he had a different QB, or was on a team that just fed him more, he would produce

Tyreek had like 40 more yards than Conley for the season, and that was with Hill being pretty much the #1 target for Alex Smith.

I agree with you that Conley's production has underwhelmed relative to his skills, but I do think its because of the system he is in (Chiefs WRs don't produce well) and he is also the #4 target after Hill, Maclin, Kelce and maybe even whatever RB is in the backfield

Oh c'mon. You watched the games. Can you remember more than like, one catch for Chris Conley?

Tyreek was all over the drat field and scored 12 times as a rookie compared to Conley's zero. Do you really think Conley would go be a star somewhere else? Would you draft Conley in any league next season?

edit: If I had a PFF account I'd look up their grades but I'm betting Conley is pretty low.

I remember several important, tough drive extending catches by Conley.

A lot of Tyreeks highlight stuff was as a runner out the backfield and special teams returner, Conley doesn't get those touches

I think if Conley was on a team like Green Bay or Washington where #2/3 WRs are targeted often his stats would look much better

PFF grades aren't worth much (you can't even see some WRs with the regular tape they use)

When the first thing on your highlight tape is you clowning on Kansas, maybe you shouldn't call it a highlight tape.

He's fine. I thought he might be like just below David Johnson good after the end of 2 seasons ago and the beginning of last season. Through 6 games last year he was on pace for about 2000 yards from scrimmage. He ended up with 1368. Which is fine! That's a perfectly useful running back. It's also a running back who fell off quite a bit due to whatever you want to blame after a hot start and limped to the finish of the season.

So you can either supplement his production or go for a home run and make him the backup (or get lucky and draft a guy good enough to push him out of the starting role later on). One way or another it seems like the Chiefs should draft a running back this year, the question is just when.

I think Ware had an accumulation of injuries, he looked so slow at the end of the season compared to the beginning.
