My car battery died when I stopped at Costco for that sweet sweet $1.99 gas. One of the guys from the tire center very nicely came out and jumped my car. Probably should have bought a new battery there, but I didn't have tools with me so I would have needed another jump to get home. That's my story. I feel it would encapsulate the Costco experience if I had gotten a juicy dog.

The Kirkland craft beer case in northern VA is decent enough that if I'm looking for beer but don't want to spend a lot I'll get it. 19.99 for 24 beers is my idea of a deal and prevents me from being peeved if someone snags some without asking. Current pack here is an APA, IPA, porter, and brown ale. The IPA is not super hoppy and definitely easy to drink while still feeling like it's got a recognizable flavor.

Picked up 4 new tires from the 'Co today. No line this morning and only took about an hour. Didn't realize it comes with nitrogen fills (and, afaik, free refills of nitrogen). PBUC

Trastion posted:If you do the Nitrogen filled thing you are only ever supposed to top off with Nitrogen which means you can only do it at certain places. Using regular air once ruins the whole Nitrogen thing as it adds water vapor back into the sealed environment. I was concerned about this but the guy said it would be fine if I need to top with air and that I just should tell them next time I came in so they could fully replace with nitrogen.

Got some cauliflower crust veggie pizza from the Costco frozen section and let me tell you it's real good. Tasty, crunchy thin crust pizza. Cooked it for 14-15 mins at the recommended temp.

GORDON posted:Why does it have so many carbs? I compared the other pizzas on the shelf, and the cauliflower crust still had something like 80% of the carbs of the regular crust pizzas. Iirc they use tapioca starch and rice flour to bind the cauliflower so the crust is just one big carb disc. It's healthier than a regular pizza but not, like, really healthy or anything.

I declined but he proceeds to dump just the chicken in the trash. So he was just offering the chicken, I guess! Saw a woman do the same bagging up ice thing at my Co. Is this a new trend?

Wife bought some tires a few days ago. New sale just dropped, adding 60 bux off the installation (which makes installation free) on top of the 70 bux off bridgestone tires. Obviously they discounted the price when we went in to actually get the tires, because Costco is Good.
