Re: Chicken Bake Hate

I don’t hate them, I just don’t think they are as good as the $1.50 polish/hotdog and drink combo, or more similarly priced, a slice of pizza and a drink. It’s got a lot going for it and I’d choose it over the other two if I can’t sit down and eat it and have to leave right away for some reason.

They should have some carts at the back of the store so when you go in for 3 things but then your arms are full halfway through you can abort your cartless run.

Also, paint a line down the middle of every aisle, and maybe people will subconsciously treat it like a 2 lane road instead of going 3 wide in the same loving direction and then stopping to chat creating a road block.

I wish everyone treated the lanes as if they were driving. Would be so much smoother.

Costco is two miles from my house, but my wife will pay more to order stuff from the web site just so she doesn't have to deal with all the morons blocking everything with their carts.

Also, the Kirkland organic Greek yogurt is amazing. I bought it one time when they didn't have the 0% Fage and I prefer it.

I'm curious what others do in this situation. My rule is if you aren't touching your cart I will move it out of the way (unless I see a purse/Rx/personal item, then I treat it as them touching it). If you are touching your cart and you are blocking me, a loud "excuse me/con permiso" will be delivered.

I buy the Kirkland XO cognac (~$48-50) fairly often these days. It's comparable to $75-90 bottles of XO from the bigger names. I haven't yet had the nerve to get the small batch XOs from California, or the real good stuff from France, but it's great and delicious for the price.

When I first bartended in NY I was surprised and horrified to find out that Henny and Coke and Henny and Cranberry are normal (black guy in a night club) drinks there.

There's a drink called a Sidecar that uses cognac/brandy (it's the usual liquor + orange liqueur + lemon or lime juice thing that every hard liquor has variant on) but other than that usually you drink brandy neat.

Now that I think about it, my mother likes her Old Fashioned with VSOP. So XO would just be more expensive but also maybe higher quality? Really though, it's the VS/VSOP/XO is similar to Silver/Reposado/And for tequila. Sip that expensive stuff and if you want to make mixed drinks, buy the lessers.

We tried the Kirkland TP (I don't remember what color it was on the packaging) and it was close to the Charmin but not close enough. It was also cheaper than the charmin, but not cheap enough to be worth the discrepancy in quality. It wasn't *bad*, it just wasn't as good. That said, the Cottenelle wet wipes are better than the Charmin wet wipes.
