The fontina with the spices is out-of-this-world amazing as a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough

How does the P&G offer work? You buy $100 of P&G products and get a $25 Costco cash card... at the register? Via mail in rebate? I am a Costco noob

My Costco opens at 10:00am but I got in early at 9:50 and was checking out at the registers at 9:53. The parking lot was already going full Mad Max by the time I left at 9:55. Praise be.

Costco would be a better place if everyone just put all of their items in their cart barcode-up as they shopped. I always do that and sail through the checkout, earning praise from the cashier who only has to speedily beep-beep-beep through my cart with the handheld beepery thingy.

No heating instructions? Edit: d’oh. But still, doesn’t seem super efficient if you have to transfer half of the contents to another container.

Zombie Dachshund posted:How are the brioche rolls? I was thinking about getting some burgers tomorrow; usually I get regular hamburger rolls or those square Italian-style rolls, but those have me intrigued. Brioche hamburger buns are incredible because they’re basically pure butter

killer crane posted:also eggs were out, i ended up getting the cartons of egg whites. i have to wonder how many people are going to be sitting with dozens of rotten eggs in a couple weeks? You can freeze raw eggs if you crack, whisk, and decant them into containers first. Thawed frozen eggs don’t taste great as scrambled eggs or an omelette or anything, but work just fine in recipes. I portion my eggs out into portions of 1, 2, or 3 before freezing so they’re ready to go for most baking recipes, meatballs, egg wash for pies/bread, etc.

Thanatosian posted:My church hadn't had the 12-packs of 7oz cans of tuna since, like, October. I always keep a bunch on-hand because I go through a ton of tuna. No signs or anything, tried to buy five, they only let me buy one. I ordered a few online but they exploded in transit, so I was delighted to receive a box full of rotting fish and rotting fish fluids that had been sitting in a hot UPS warehouse for days.

StormDrain posted:Dear Costco thread, I never thought it would happen to me, but today I was blessed by the incompetence of Costco.com. After a bit of worry about the upcoming collapse of society, I ordered a 30 day supply of emergency food. It was backordered and expected to take a few weeks to get. Lo! It came in about a week! And now only two days later, a second package has arrived with another bucket! If I survive an emergency on that second bucket it will truly be a miracle from Kirkland. Was it the giant bucket of mac and cheese?
