I joined Costco a month ago and my step mother is now also a member I got two gas fillups and two cheese pizzas on the credit card so far Costco is good

So maybe 2 months ago I signed up for Costco and got the credit card Good: Hot dogs Pizza insanely good and big for just $10 $120 executive membership but got $60 gift card and if I don’t get $60 in cash back on credit card in a year they give me the difference so it’s basically free first year Gas super cheap Staff really happy and friendly Feel like a upper middle class person shopping there Cookies, muffins, cakes and cheesecakes Normandy and chicken breasts for lunch and dinner saves me money and is healthy and yummy Bad: Insane amount of mega ultra fat people everywhere Sometimes can’t justify or finish eating huge stuff like massive peanut butter tubs or 4lbs of cherries in one go Soda and some produce is more expensive there Jim Sinegal retired so I doubt I’ll get to shake his hand Only air conditioner they had was a $400 one All in all, A+ choice for the gas price and rewards alone, rest is just bonus

Also I went to Cost Company like 2 hours ago. The haul: - 30 rolls of Charmin's excellent toilet paper for wiping poo poo off of my rear end in a top hat: 18.99  - Huge bage of frozen chicken tenderloins - Big ol' bag of broccoli, for my chicken and broccoli lunches - Two bigass Kirkland contact lens solutions for only $10 - Wife got the vanillas frozen yogurt. It's good. I was tempted to get a dog+drink but I'm going to the gym in like 3 hours. Next time. It's only $1.35, god drat that's amazing - Made an appointment with the optometrist there for wife and I on Wednesday. - Saw one of the cool managers of my office there and said what's up, he was getting new glasses because his other ones broke. Bringing people together!!

Just cancelled my membership renewals for next year. I got the most insanely terrible service from the optical department and then when I went to talk to someone at customer service also. I have no clue what the deal was but both of the people I talked to were extremely rude, interrupted me, and talked down to me like I was speaking another language or something. All I wanted was a copy of my contact lens prescription printed and I was treated like I was asking the staff to borrow a thousand dollars or something. When I asked to cancel my renewal the guy at the counter gave me knives from his eyes, said nothing, and said emotionlessly staring at me “have a nice day” in a very flat, cold way. I can’t really explain it in writing but I just felt like I was being an annoyance to these people. I was so shocked all I could do was laugh, look at my wife, and look back at them like “are you being serious right now?” The service at my Costco has been getting noticeably worse and I’m not going to shop there anymore. The optometrist is, but this was with the actual Costco optical staff with the counter and near the glasses wall and where you order contacts through Costco. It was a Costco staff with a Costco name badge so I only assume so.

I emailed corporate about the crappy optical desk service I got, since I sent a message to the GM on Facebook and got no reply Still no reply from corporate either after like a week I got a $37 rewards email the other day so I will use that but I’m not gonna cancel my membership, but rather downgrade to gold since I just don’t spend enough at Costco to justify executive

My local news said there was a full-on scramble at mine when doors opened on Saturday for the toiler paper and water, like people getting two packs of the 30roll toilet papers I will admit I did buy a bunch of extra cat food for my cats but no extra human food
