So maybe 2 months ago I signed up for Costco and got the credit card

Good:
Hot dogs
Pizza insanely good and big for just $10
$120 executive membership but got $60 gift card and if I donít get $60 in cash back on credit card in a year they give me the difference so itís basically free first year
Gas super cheap
Staff really happy and friendly
Feel like a upper middle class person shopping there
Cookies, muffins, cakes and cheesecakes
Normandy and chicken breasts for lunch and dinner saves me money and is healthy and yummy

Bad:
Insane amount of mega ultra fat people everywhere
Sometimes canít justify or finish eating huge stuff like massive peanut butter tubs or 4lbs of cherries in one go
Soda and some produce is more expensive there
Jim Sinegal retired so I doubt Iíll get to shake his hand
Only air conditioner they had was a $400 one

All in all, A+ choice for the gas price and rewards alone, rest is just bonus

Yeah Safeway and Albertsons do have extremely obese people but Costco feels like itís ~60% extremely mega ultra fat people, at least in my cityís store

I was at my friend's parent's house yesterday and I was proselytizing the good word of Costco. They currently have a Sam's club membership but they're both pretty liberal and I was mentioning how they treat their workers which his dad said he heard that they were paid well. Talked about the dogs, the credit card, etc. They were pretty impressed and liked how Sinegal basically tells his shareholders what's up instead of the other way around.

I really like what someone said in this thread before. Costco is capitalism done right.

I feel like I did my part to spread the joy.

How's the no drinking and losing weight thing going bro

I'm all about that normandy veg + chicken breast grind right now

From what I've seen you pay around full car payment prices for leasing. It's one of the stupidest things you could ever do financially. You are renting a car but pay full price. The only upside is that you can get a new car every 3 years or whatever.

It's insanely retarded and I've yet to hear a single good reason why anyone would ever do it.

some people just make likke $90,000 a year or whatever at their office job and just want a new car every 3 years because they like to consume and it feels good to have new things and stuff and good in their homes, they don't care about paying off a car in 6 years and keeping it another 10

When Iím on my deathbed, bring me a plain dog with nothing, I want to taste the juicy all beef dog and soft bready bun purely once more before I go

I just wanna say since I started the past 3 pages of pizza talk that even though I don't like bell peppers on pizza, I'm sure costco supreme pizza would be delicious regardless

because it's from Costco.

The food court is easily the worst thing about Costco, and I say that as someone who has been shopping there regularly for over a decade. They have no idea what to do with the food court. They got rid of the polish, which was loving idiotic. They should just embrace the food court being a non-revenue generating part of the experience, but instead they are bringing all kinds of stupid poo poo in an effort to make it a money maker. gently caress the food court.

Now that the polish is gone, the best food court item I've had is the al pastor pineapple pizza you can get in Mexico, and it's so lit, but you would never get that in America. Costco needs to clean up its food court more than anything else about the store. Decide what the gently caress you want the food court to be. Ideally they would say "hey you're spending $200 per trip, maybe the food court should be a value add" but that's not where they're trying to go with it at all and it's frustrating.

If they brought the rotating al pastor meat to the USA like they had in Mexico, it would be a slam dunk and they could do not just the al pastor pizza, but tacos etc. but for whatever reason every decision the food court makes in terms of its offerings in the USA is complete poo poo.

I'm not man enough to commit to buying the entire giant loving container. I love my share of weird asian food, but when I was in Taiwan some of the snack foods were a bit too wild for me. Which is fine when you're traveling, but I'm not trying to waste like 2 pounds of dried fish if I don't like it...

As someone who spent a lot of time is casinos in Asia, often sitting next to people eating dried fish or squid snacks, let me just tell you that those things make your breath smell like hyperAIDS

Also I went to Cost Company like 2 hours ago. The haul:

- 30 rolls of Charmin's excellent toilet paper for wiping poo poo off of my rear end in a top hat: 18.99 :nice:
- Huge bage of frozen chicken tenderloins
- Big ol' bag of broccoli, for my chicken and broccoli lunches
- Two bigass Kirkland contact lens solutions for only $10
- Wife got the vanillas frozen yogurt. It's good. I was tempted to get a dog+drink but I'm going to the gym in like 3 hours. Next time. It's only $1.35, god drat that's amazing
- Made an appointment with the optometrist there for wife and I on Wednesday.
- Saw one of the cool managers of my office there and said what's up, he was getting new glasses because his other ones broke. Bringing people together!!

Huh, the Japanese costco is advertising a new burger in the food court, apparently it's a "new" version of the old cheeseburger, which was downright mediocre. Wonder if it'll be decent now, looks exactly the same as before, but only one way to find out!

If you live in Japan like I did for 5 years, hopefully you know that Japanese burgers are rear end because they cut the beef with ground pork to save money

Just cancelled my membership renewals for next year.

I got the most insanely terrible service from the optical department and then when I went to talk to someone at customer service also. I have no clue what the deal was but both of the people I talked to were extremely rude, interrupted me, and talked down to me like I was speaking another language or something. All I wanted was a copy of my contact lens prescription printed and I was treated like I was asking the staff to borrow a thousand dollars or something. When I asked to cancel my renewal the guy at the counter gave me knives from his eyes, said nothing, and said emotionlessly staring at me ďhave a nice dayĒ in a very flat, cold way. I canít really explain it in writing but I just felt like I was being an annoyance to these people. I was so shocked all I could do was laugh, look at my wife, and look back at them like ďare you being serious right now?Ē

The service at my Costco has been getting noticeably worse and Iím not going to shop there anymore. Sorry to anyone who loves Costco, I get it, but thereís no way Iím going to be treated the way I was and give them my money.
