I still can’t get over the fact that the Costco closest to me has diesel at their pumps. Never seen a Costco offer it before

Closest Costco near me has diesel. Haven't seen that before in other locations.

Anyone bought kitchen appliances from Costco before? I need to buy a fridge in August and wondering if they deliver.

I bought a dishwasher. They deliver and use a third party service for installation. Wasn’t very impressed as I had to sign off on delivery stating the dishwasher worked before the separate installer came to actually install, and they did actually find issues, ended up being a big hassle.

Ah shoot, that does sound like a pain in the butt. Do they use a third party service for delivery as well, if you know? I’m in Alaska and a lot of poo poo says it isn’t able to be delivered to my address, even though I’m only an hour away from the nearest store location. Nice and fun!

I bought a dishwasher, washer & dryer but did install myself (canada) I think the delivery guys were supposed to do "simple installs" but they didn't and I didn't question it.

Hmm alright. I don't know the first thing about installing appliances, but I guess that's what youtube is for! I'll have to ask someone next time I find myself there and see what the delivery deal is and go from there. I need a fridge and washer/dryer. For a new build so no appliances needing to be removed or anything special.

Installing appliances is usually easy and quick, but there are sometimes a few not-obvious mistakes you can make that will shorten the life of the appliance. Definitely find a guide online or something before you do it yourself

My only real fear is with the dryer, because it’ll be natural gas instead of electric. So I just need to watch a few vids and actually pay attention haha

Like installing a dish washer into a garbage disposal and not removing the plug from the disposal that the dishwasher line plugs into.

That sounds…messy! No garbage disposal being installed, aren’t a very common thing for houses up here for whatever reason. Maybe eventually. I’ll need to remember this

Every time I got to Costco an employee tries to upgrade my membership while I wait in line, citing how much stuff I have in my cart.

Yup, yup, I know guys.

I got suckered into buying the "executive" membership, it's only really worth it if you have the Costco credit card imo. And of course if you go regularly

Proud of you, son. Keep up the great work.

Go buy some nice 505 green chilis and enjoy the sweet sweet salsa (Spanish for sauce)

Yep. I think I got it for a year and didn't come anywhere close to it being beneficial. I went back down to my regular membership.

Did they plea with you that you NEED to keep your executive membership otherwise Kirkland would find you?

I'm Canada the parmesan cheese is like 1/5 the price elsewhere. So I have one woman hooked. I bet I could pick up steaks for my friend. All while earning 4%... Just got approved for the new CIBC Costco Mastercard (Costco warehouse only takes mastercard). It's not as good as the US Visa it looks like, but its not bad.

Congrats on the approval!! So interesting that they aren’t using a universal card issuer, but I guess it all depends on whatever deals Visa/Mastercard are giving at the time to Costco corporate. When my fiancée and I were driving through Canada last year we wanted to stop by Costco in Edmonton to break up the trip, but neither of us had a Mastercard handy.

Rule #1. Call in the pizza first.

That’s usually the first thing I do too when going in; beeline to order a pizza. Helps make trips faster too, less wandering around aimlessly when you have a pizza waiting for you!
