I went to the costco in Polaris outside of Columbus and they had a line out the door, but it was nice and quick. Got plenty of snacks and produce and a poo poo ton of sparkling water for cheap. Cashier was named Mac and his nametag said 'N CHEESE' underneath that. PBUC.

That goes to, anyone really. Hey whatup neighborino. I'm not surprised, that Kroger is super hit or miss on weird stuff. I've found really good craft beer and all the boars head lunch meats you could want there, but also missing like, major brand snacks or being out of any good Jeni's flavors. Also I got a loaf of the sourdough from Boudin, that stuff is LEGIT. Comes presliced, we have used that for sandwiches, using COSTCO evoo and italian seasoning for garlic bread, and also as a service device for garden veggie cream cheese. Huge loaf for $3. PBUC.

I only hit the Kroger when I have coupons. lol yeah the meijer at 23/polaris is solid, thats on my way home from work so also very convenient (lol for whenever we actually go back to work). Last time I was there we got 2 huge things of cat litter and I havent see any in a store since for some reason. I assume its 'roni related but I hope people are not pooping into cat litter. Anyways, still churning through our supply of costco snacks. They had a 15oz bag of Sahale tangerine vanilla cashew-macadamia mix that is just fantastic, and we have another box of lime lacroix unopened. bulk shopping best shopping.

The gas is slightly easier at Easton though at least. The drive between 71/70 isnt too bad on 270 even on bad days, definitely doable to hop between the two. I like the Polaris one a hell of a lot better just because Easton is crazy busy. Polaris is across the street from the mall and only has to deal with Cabelas. And yeah, Ohio used to be a solid goonmeet spot. Assuming the plague goes away, I'm down for a Polaris hangout. I'm WFH for at least another month and maybe longer, my company is super relaxed about even bothering to try and force going back.

From a bit back but we picked up some as well, my wife added more spices to it since she felt it was a little bland, just garam masala and cumin. Pretty good though overall just not to her specific seasoning. Although since we have nothing else to do I plan on making some horrible pasta monster mash bake with this and some noodles, since its just a spiced tomato sauce at heart.

Ohio was one of the first states to really buckle down and accept our fate, DeWine got a ton of praise for following science advice and enacting restrictions (even if hes a poo poo head overall), and it took less than 24 hours for him to back down on a mandatory state-wide mask policy because of how much flak he got. I saw a thing on Twitter that said, "If you tell everyone to use a mask to protect themselves, it would be universal. The moment you said to wear a mask to protect others, no one cared." And sadly it really does seem to be happening just like that. My wife has asthma so she gets anxious about going out shopping so I've done the majority of it, but most people around me have been relatively good about being protected. You still get the random weirdo thats out without gloves or a mask or anything, and seems slightly puzzled about what is going on, though. Also on a side note, we found a Mexican place that not only delivers margaritas, but also does very heavy pours. Thats a heck of a good quarantine situation.

They were down to kirkland gigantic rolls of TP, but no paper towels, masks, sanitizer, anything like that. Around 3pm. They did have a bunch of meat still in the cases, so maybe thats a sign, but overall no cleaning supplies whatsoever. I had to go to Meijer to get Rxs for my wife and they had a huge amount of TP, but again almost no hand soap, no gloves masks sanitizer or anything else. I hit up Church the other day for the delicious margaritas and it was 100% masks across the board - Polaris Ohio. Still have the dinguses who stop their carts in the middle of the aisle to wander over and look at something and then act surprised that this causes everyone behind them to stack up, since no one really is rude enough to midwest-mean their way through the throng of people. Got some of them beef bulgogi dumplings, some quiche, and found a unicorn: Went looking for the Aussie ginger beer bottles and found a case with a bottle of hand sanitizer left on top. Wandered around the aisle, didnt find a single person near it. Had a CostCo employee checking inventory that said if its not in a cart, and theres nothing wrong with it, totally up for grabs. First thing of hand sanitizer I've seen since February. (He also said that the pallet for those goes almost immediately in the morning and theres a good chance it was a put-back when someone tried to buy too many).

I think Manuel the other Cbus goon posted about em in the first place, but they are way better than store-brand has a right to be. Not like, as good as something you made yourself. I got a thing of Gouda/Apple chicken sausages and the casing on them is pork-based and super tough. Im running out of Diet Coke If your CostCo (or any store, really) is requiring masks then it is legitimately the safest shopping option out there. My local meijer (what up 23) does not require masks and it is maddening, because I have to go there for specific things that costco does not carry. A story came out of Missouri recently where 2 hairstylists had corona and had over 100+ clients, but EVERYONE had masks on, so no client actually got sick. Thats good news! Just wear a mask and do not stand next to people, it'll be okay.

Usually the masks reappear near checkout, in the hand, or rarely covering the chin or just the mouth. I was very disappointed at the Polaris costco because there were people doing the same, and they had been SO GOOD about it. Saw a few dudes just not even trying to keep their face covered, and one lady not even with a mask on her. And ironically, it was the first time I've EVER seen masks and hand sanitizer and wipes all in stock at the same time. Just a complete shame all around, Costco. You were the chosen one! It doesn't clump at all so you just get an unsiftable mess of litter that reeks of ammonia so bad it made me light-headed. Wife and I have hella cats and you have to be careful with TidyCat litters, because they use the same color-coded labels for both clumping and non-clumping litters and just differentiate it by saying if it clumps or not, including the fact that the huge bag of one and the clear plastic container is non-clumping, and the normal yellow 30lb pail or whatever is clumping. We fostered some kittens and got the giant bag that looked identical to the yellow pail, except the bag doesnt clump. loving annnnnnnoying.
