The website has always been substantially more expensive whenever I've compared to store prices.

Mine only has variety packs of La Croix, and it's a lovely variety... only 6 of glob's own grapefruit ambrosia, then 6 awful lemon and TWELVE lime?! because gently caress you. You like the taste of a warmed over gin and tonic that you forgot about and left on the counter all day? Have a lacroix lime. Have twelve.

Still, it's the price of comfort and savings, therefore worth it.

I worked at BJ's on and off for a few years during college for beer money and, lol this is so hilariously common and it's always hilarious when you catch someone doing it. I used to just scan the DVD or whatever and play dumb when they told me to take it off "Oh, changed your mind? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Don't be deceived though, "cashier error" is just a polite way of saying it's their job to get cashiers into trouble for making mistakes, usually forgetting to scan items on the bottom of the cart. When you're scanning $20k worth of merchandise for ~150 customers throughout an 8 hour day, mistakes are going to slip through from time to time. Where I worked, nobody ever made friends with the door checkers.

A fun little BJ's thing is, every time you miss an item, you immediately got get a write up. On paper, 3 write ups and you're fired. However, it wasn't unusual for even the best cashiers to get 8-10 write ups a month and in general management didn't care unless it was over a $100 gently caress up in a single transaction. Shortly after I quit, my store got a new General Manager with a stick up his rear end, and the first thing he did was enforce the rules and fire every single cashier with 3 or more write ups. Out of 30 cashiers, he fired 28 of them. He didn't actually speak with the front line manager about, so the next morning the store opens and she finds that there's literally no staff to run the building. She had to call them all back in a panic and beg them to come back.

Pitting workers against other workers is a real poo poo thing. Abolish receipt checkers.

I got a big bottle jug of windex. It's big.

People will do this with any plant that dies (usually due to neglect). But yeah, it's especially terrible/depressing when it comes to Christmas trees getting returned after Christmas.

People also do it because the dipshits at the garden center overwater everything and you can't tell something is in the beginning stages of rot until a week after you get it home and it literally turns into mush and falls apart in front of you. Even actual reputable nurseries do this.

But returning a christmas tree after christmas becuase you can is, I mean, gently caress the billion dollar corporation you bought it from, their profits come second to your ability to afford food and rent, take whatever you can get, but I guess it's a dick move.
