Horse Clocks posted:I live close to both Costco Wembley and Costco Watford (UK). Today I went to Watford. I live about 1.5 blocks from what must be one of the least-busy Costcos in the UK. I try to limit myself to once a week (mostly for meat, and occasional enchilada tray with premixed margarita bottle for special weekends). We do have the pb pretzels. Not sure which hot dogs you mean. Obvs they have the concession ones. I’ve also seen a couple other types in the groceries section. Never paid much attention as hot dogs aren’t my thing. You can always ask the manager person by the registers, they can look stuff up on the computer and can sometimes tell you months ahead of time if they are getting something in. skoolmunkee fucked around with this message at 18:40 on Jun 22, 2018 |

naem posted:I hope that you are a member of one of the seven approved careers that U.K. Costco (rightly) allows membership to (Barrister, Civil Servant, Post Secondary Educator, Aluminium Colourerer, Royal Haberdasher, Nuclear Physicist, Falconry) A couple locations have eased this restriction as an experiment and you can now gain membership if you are a member of other organizations like a couple popular car breakdown/recovery places, a member of parliament, a YouTuber with more than 50k subscribers, corgi enthusiast, or an alcoholic. So really anyone can join now. Fun UK Costco facts, many gleaned from their website: . There’s only 28 locations . Only 12 have fuel (not the one near me) . No business centers . No pharmacies (this kinda makes sense as Costco can’t beat NHS prices) . At least some locations do the weekday free coffee and treat but only during the tradesmen hours . The food courts have baked potatoes with several topping options (very british ones like baked beans, or tuna) . They also sell an Aberdeen Angus cottage pie in the food court which I’ve seen no one eating ever . They obvs sell the chicken bake, pizza, and £1.50 hot dog . Dispensers are ketchup and mustard only. If you get a dog they ask you if you want onions, if you say yes it looks like they are prepared to put them right on the dog before wrapping it up, but maybe you can request a cup? . They have gelato and it’s actually recent, it replaced the sundaes . They used to have a chicken wrap but now it’s a plain breaded chicken patty sandwich which seems a little expensive for something that looks much less nice . They are the only places in the UK with a nearly-adequate amount of parking (at least one has an underground lot) and a,erican-width parking spaces

Bought a pink small size Sherpa throw today for the sofa. So cozy

I am on the sofa playing PS4 under my Sherpa throw. My dog just came over, pulled the Sherpa throw off of me, fluffed it up into a pile on the rug, and curled up in it. Need more Sherpa throws

7 months ago I bought a fitbit blaze at Costco because my old small capsule Fitbit (basically a step tracker only) got lost. I didn’t really like it because it was bigger and I often took it off and would forget to put it back on. It’s just been sitting on my kitchen counter for the last 2 months. Last week I found the tiny capsule (it fell behind the fridge) and today I returned the blaze and told them it just wasn’t being used. Lady didn’t bat an eye and put the money back on my debit card. Then I bought a box of clementines and a bag of the CP chicken breasts for making chicken burgers. Happy ending.
