Haven't been to Costco in about ten years, but gave in and got a new membership this weekend. Got a cart full of good stuff (Hello American Vodka) but I have to say the hype over the rotisserie chicken is real, these things are like twice the size of similar chickens at other grocers and a couple bucks less, and man the meat was moist and delicious.

So the Costco carne asada is legit. Also grab the Kirkland "organic chunky guacamole" it comes in those little single-serving containers, about one per burrito, it's one of the best premade guacs I've found, I just add some lime to it and it's about perfect, and it has the benefit over your regular homemade guac because unlike the standard 'cado which is always dictating the timeline, like, I'm ripe now and use me within the chosen day or I start to turn to trash, these lil tubs are good when you are ready. Also these carne packs are generous, so use some for breakfast burritos with cheese, pico and your choice of hot sauce - which is Cholula of course because the church has two--packs of this mystical sauce at a very good price.

Chinatown posted:My opinion on pre-made manufactured guac is that its gross as hell. Normally I would 100% agree but I pointed these out because they are the exception to the rule. Another question was how long they last, dunno, at least a month or two, the pack I bought like two weeks ago says use by Dec 26.

Those chicken melt things are surprisingly good. Basic but a good snack you can nuke for a minute and be like, huh, this is decent. ***chicken melt snipe they good buy em and see only like eleven bux***

So yesterday, first time ever, I got a rotisserie chicken that was ... just ... not good. Dry, bland, I don't know wtf happened but it's shaken me to my core.

FogHelmut posted:Lorissa's Kitchen Original Tender Beef Steak Strips are good. Great texture, intense beefy flavor, mildly seasoned, small hint of smoke. Top tier beef jerky for me, but you might be expecting more salt. Just picked up a bag last week, good price on sale. I don't think I'd call it top tier jerky, but it's pretty good.

We found Bitchin Sauce to be best when cut with some sour cream and heated with chunks from the rotisserie chicken tossed in. Really good dip at that point with some tortilla chips.
