I can't believe Maroon 5 was the most entertaining part of the super bowl. They weren't good by any stretch of the imagination, but we laughed more and talked more about their terrible performance than we did about the entire game. Watching the "highlights" of the game on ESPN was pretty great too. Two incomplete passes, a missed field goal, and a 2 yard run.

The worst part of those "destroyers" like shapiro, crowder, jordan peterson etc is their whiny voices. It makes it hard to take anything they say seriously, even if they weren't spouting bullshit. Talking over someone and saying "let me finish, I didn't interrupt you when it was your turn (they totally did)" over and over isn't a debate, it's making a speech and when people upload it to youtube with the "DESTROYS" label it's their stupid way of saying "they said the thing I agree with". But the worst part is still their voices and general smug demeanor. Tyson is the only internet favorite I can think of that doesn't have an annoying voice, but his smugness is so strong I think he's almost as bad.

Jon Stewart had a great segment at the end of his Daily Show run where he highlighted all the times he's EVISCERATED or OBLITERATED [insert conservative here] and how absolutely nothing changed and the world got worse. Of course most of his audience and his proteges took nothing from that and late night TV is now dominated by lib clapback porn as the world slides into oblivion.

One of the big snags is that the news cycle is just so constant and so fast that everything and everybody is reduced to a few words in a sound bite. Words don't change anything; actions do but instead it's just "oh wow, this guy said this sentence and now I hate him, look at how awesome I am! Look how many times I liked Facebook pages about how bad my opponents are!" Yeah, but what did you do?

Youtube reaction videos enrage me. People make money off gradeschool-play-level acting and funny faces. Because theyre one of the best ways to boost the original video in the algorithm, these garbage scum "content creators" actually get their asses kissed and make even more money by people who want their video featured. Sports PHUO: fold CFL and NFL together a la NHL.* I think the two leagues have slightly different rules but most fans probably don’t know or care.** *And NBA and MLB too technically. At least in Ontario the Raptors and Jays get way more coverage then any podunk canuck team for those sports **this one american super football nerd guy I know insists CFL is the pure true tactical version of the sport so use their rules, no one but him will care.
