I'm gonna do something dumb. Do not waste an investigation on me, I am 3p and not town. I exit the game victorious if I successfully block a kill from scum, but effectively I'm still a town bodyguard.

That's almost completely unpredictable, there's not much strategy to it, and they only way it's confirmed is if you die. I have no idea whether the cop is "town/not town" or "scum/not scum" and I'd rather a cop didn't waste investigations on me. Also if a cop catches a scum who gets hanged, that extends the game and gives me more nights to potentially achieve my wincon.
