Why does StarMarine matter so much when most players will abandon it after a month like Arena Commander? Just to prove Derek Smart wrong? It's like the waiter giving you another basket of biscuits while you wait for your cheeseburger which is an hour late as the head chef insists on making everything from scratch while the kitchen staff are still trying to put the oven together. Good thing you paid 100x the cost of your meal in advance because you believe the cheeseburger you will eventually be served will be so delicious you will never need to eat again.

What prevents them from just releasing 2.6 to live as is? It's pre-pre alpha anyway. SM is it's own module ready for pre alpha alpha testing which is all those testers are there to do anyway. PU not really as affected worse than it already is. It's not like it's being released to a live game with a hostile audience.
