As someone that was a Golden Ticket holder - got up to a Redeemer deep in to the game. I came to SA from /reddit to "spy" on goons and learned hey Goons are actually way better people than shitizens and realized holy poo poo I drank too much Kool-Aid and sold everything for a PROFIT! This game keeps delivering the comedy gold every time I check up on it every 3 to 4 months. Thank you all for your endurance in keeping the laughs going. The straw that broke the camel's back was eventually the Balance Team said "Hey we're going to do XYZ changes" and the whole community at the time - the thread on the alpha forms blew up which rarely happened - with "We love XY but for the love of God don't do Z!" And the head Dev basically said - We understand your concerns and some of you have written some very well thought out critiques on the subject and how we could improve this Z system... But we're going to do our thing anyway!!!! Z being this new way to declare war declarations on another company but instead of fixing the current game's problem with war dec'ing, the new change would allow you to "clear" a war dec by just changing your company name and guild leader. Thus starting a huge game of loving musical chairs where the only winners are the people that get bored and stop playing first. Before you guys can go all Shitizen on me and go "IT'S ALPHA" - it wouldn't be so bad if the Balance Team actually utilized us for the purpose that they claim they want us for. There were multiple, very well thought out, posts on how to improve the system that were actually REALLY good and the Dev team made it seem like they were going to go that way. They went so far as to declare - We're going to make a "War Council" and all the Guild Leaders and Good Boi Posters will be in it so you guys can give us DIRECT feedback so we can quickly improve the game! Which never happened. Especially after the camel breaking patch. So yeah. Amazon Games is basically a mini-CIG in my mind except they actually HAVE money (for now) so stay SUPER skeptic when it comes to them when they ever end up releasing the game in EARLY ACCESS! Sometime this year for $30-$60.

So there is NO reason to be a crim unless you dedicate a character to being a crim. But then they removed multiple characters per account so guess what? You gotta buy another account if you need a crim char and a legit char! And you need a Crim Char because the War Dec'ing in this game is so loving broken that it costs tons of time/resources/gold to DO war dec'ing but OH THEN GUESS WHAT. MUSICAL CHAIRS! We just changed our guild leader/guild name lol! So you use a crim char to murder the guild you want to murder.... and I'm done. It's so loving convoluted and loving stupid I don't want to explain it anymore. The War Dec system used to be simple with some flaws that could be fixed if they just listened to the active, good feedback of the community and then the Devs loving put a stick in their own bike spokes and blamed the community for being too "aggressive" in our PvP'ing in their PvP game. Edit - Sorry. I can go on and on about New World, I honestly thought AGS was going to be half decent but you can't fix upper management gumming up the works. Does anyone remember an old school space MMO called JumpGate? Strafing combat eventually became the norm on how to fight. The devs of the game even embraced it once it started becoming meta and instead of loving with their physics instead adjusted ships to better or worse at that combat. You have fast, less weapons/armor scout ships that they released and they also released heavy fighters that couldn't go as fast but had more guns/shields. It came down to pilot skills/preference/how bad they lagged. Not to mention a few fighters in between to fulfill niche roles. Some we're better at circle strafing as opposed to jousting, etc. Others had more missiles to spam instead of doing the joust. Each faction had their own unique ships that helped fill different slots and it came together awesomely. It was a great space MMO. Star Citizen is not a great space MMO. Edit: and holy poo poo. It seems like they are going to launch with only 1 system and multiple planets and focus on expanding those planets with further star systems coming in "episodic/patch" releases basically whenever they feel like it/can actually make it work. Hence the whole "choose your own adventure" theme coming from now is basically make due with what we have and please keep giving us more money so we can make this shitshow last forever. They are hosed in terms of "server meshing" or whatever. Basically this screams, to me, they can't make it work. So keep people "grounded" and not flying. Can't complain about long travel times if you never leave the planet! Not that it matters because they ALL look the same. Grey/Brown poo poo stains.
