Usual reflection cubemaps, easiest form of reflection possible. Nothing unusual here. They will never change to screen space reflections due to the heavy impact on performance.

Since I started a CICO based diet. Last post 8 days ago:

77.7kg total weight
30.69kg muscle (39.5%)
16.55kg fat (21.3%)
6.22kg visceral fat (8%)

Today's stats:

76.1kg total weight (-1.6kg) [BMI 25.1]
30.28kg muscle (39.8%) (-0.41kg)
15.44kg fat (20.3%) (-1.11kg)
5.3kg visceral fat (7%) (-0.92kg)

Still goal:
71kg total weight
30.69kg muscle (43.2%)
9.85kg fat (13.8%)
6.22kg visceral fat (8.7%)

Likeliness to achieve overall goals getting to that weight: unlikely. Lost more visceral fat than expected already. Lost some muscle. Lost some fat as well. All in all the goal is to get down to 10kg fat for me mostly now. In 8 days that's significant progress IMO. Visceral fat is also very approximate since my scale only gives me full percentages unlike the other measurements.

Edit: this is weight tax :colbert:

If anyone else is interested, but doesn't quite know how to start, I recommend something called MyFitnessPal, which is an app you can download on your phone. It just lets you log your food each day, recording the calories you eat. I thought it was pretty stupid initially but it was really eye opening how many calories I was realistically eating. It'll take your health stats and tell you how many calories per day you need to eat to lose a lb or half a lb a week, or even just to stay the same weight. And you can log your weight and it gives you a nice little simple chart of your progress. I'm 15 lbs down in 3 months, and not starving myself in the least.

And I get excited for walkies on weekends, since it gives me more calories to eat!

Yeah you're welcome. I'm doing this as good as I can. I can also recommend MyFitnessPal, entering calories and so on really helps visualize how much you actually eat and what you can actually afford to eat each day. I'm not starving, but trying to keep myself around 1600-1900kcal a day, depending on my daily level of sports and generally how much I move. It's not that hard but really requires at least some effort, but from nothing comes nothing.

But im been honest, everytime i play SC since 1.6 (when they started to migrate to google servers) my levels of angry and annoyance hit records. When youre changing the flight model since the very first day because you don't know yet what you want to be, you don't have good foundations, when youre balancing one time and another, patch after patch, getting more and more far from been balanced after 2 years you don't have a good foundation, all that with an exponentially more complex and messy code that multiplies bugs and techincal troubles. Can we expect a BDSSE wiht those dirty foundations?

Forget about 3.0, planetary stuff, SQ42 and everything its not playable now, im not going there, i don't even want that till they are 100% sure its fun, playable, enjoyable, and techincally acceptable. I don't want it.

Think about what we have now, and think about that been in development for about 4 years, with 2 years actively played by the comunity with lots of feedback. And now ask to yourself, is this acceptable?

Don't take me wrong, i want the project to be released as soon as posible and i want it to be a drat good game, and thats why im not asking for 3.0, SQ42 release date or more ships, ive learned to not expect new things from CIG the ahrd way, and im fine with that, lets focus on the game we play every day. I just want an acceptable game with the poor content we have now, im not asking for the moon, given that theyve been developing this part of the game 4 years and 2 been public alpha...

You can't make the most ambitious project ever, with a softy, tender community, been always gratefull, and patient. The foundations are a mess, and they are still changing pretty basic ground things as it was they first year of development.

Why they keep selling and making new ships? Do we really need more ships? at this rate they will ahve to remodel 20 ships per year to keep up with everything else, more work, more money wasted, and more poo poo to sell.

And whats wrong with the servers? why theyre always under stress? are they investing in server side? can't we expect a good server support from a hundred million dollar game funded by the backers???? is that begging for too much???

All shots were shot with an astro-modified (H-Alpha sensitive) D5100 with custom firmware.

Moon was 230 frames, took the best 5% out of them, shot on a newtonian 8" 1000mm focal length telescope on a dobson mount.

All others were shot on a Skywatcher Star Adventurer with a TS Optics 70mm aperture 420mm focal length APO triplet telescope. Subs were all 60s; 30 subs for M31, 60 subs for Eastern Veil, 60 subs for Pleiades. Add some dark frames and other calibration frames and process with PixInsight.
