Hey, I'm a big fan of your work, seen all movies.

At school, the teacher would take us to a dedicated movie room to watch an exciting movie. It was the 80's, and we never got to see Rambo or Arnold, it was always about your work.

Been a huge fan since.

We met my parents yesterday and I still love them. My one year old is very attached to her mom and grandma, so it seems I understand baby development to some extent.

And Star Citizen is still poo poo.

Serious question:

Does anyone know why cruiser and battleship classes are missing from the UEE navy?

They have a poo poo ton of engineering debt, yet seem to be missing two very important classes in the whole "WW2 in space" theme.

This makes a lot of sense and would fit perfectly with CIG tactics so far. My only guess is that they haven't been able to accomplish it, no matter how easy it might seem.

Games coming out on 2017, by PC Gamer

quote:

Star Citizen

Release date: 2017
Developer: Cloud Imperium Games
Link: Official site

Star Citizen, that all-singing all-dancing crowdfunding juggernaut, may never get an official “launch.” Bits of it will keep getting added on, and more bits will keep being made as long as the game’s devoted fans keep pouring in money (over $140 million at the time of this writing).

Still, 2017 should be an important year for Star Citizen. Each multiplayer gameplay footage is more impressive than the last, and the FPS module is now fully operational. With ships, combat, exploration, crews, boarding, ballistics, and hull punctures all in the game, Star Citizen is on the verge of becoming that great space MMO we’ve dared to hope it could be.

"Everybody knows SC will never be out, but <insert ambiguous, inaccurate fluff sent by CIG's marketing team here>"

I'm a long time reader of PC Gamer, didn't know this sarcastic side of them.

Way I see it, it goes like this:
    - Kickstarter and Early Backers are entitled to Episode 1 and Episode 2
    - Late SC backers are entitled to Episode 1 only
    - Late-late SC backers have to buy SC and Episode 1 separately, or as a package with a discount

Buying LOD was always a gamble, friend. We knew it from the start. That's why I put disposable income into it. If LOD stops being developed today, I got all my value out of it.

Maybe you should take a break from LOD and come back in 2-3 years. You might find it a lot more enjoyable, then.

I for one, am very excited to see 3.0 in the first half of the year. MoMA and ABH said so, all issues will be fixed then.

Tbh it's silly to complain about the mousepad: it is the woman's job and doesn't impact dev resources at all.

And I gotta admit it's pretty cool, to a certain extent. Another positive point is that it's so generic sci-fi, that I can boast it's a limited Stellaris or Star Wars edition or something, thus hiding my shame for giving ger money in the first place.

However, I think they modified it to make Chris and Erin look younger, but that's it. I would pity the pudgy intern that had to dress as Chris for a fake picture.

I don't have words for this... tourism as game mechanics? How can that possibly work?

The whole point of the restaurant at the end of the universe was to actually be there... and even then the novelty would wear out after 2 or 3 visits. Eventually I might go back for the food and just ignore the show.

Thank you Star Citizen, thread. The cheap, quick comedy found here is invaluable.

E:D has that already. It entails carrying cargo from one spot to another passengers in a cabin from a station to a tourist spot beacon in space. Passengers of course just being a different form of cargo that has to be carried in the special type of cargo container called a passenger cabin.

Easy-peasy. :D

That makes sense. If you had really good procedural generation of anomalies, you could have an endless supply of tourism destinations in space/planets. Generate a beacon along and you are set.

I feel like trying E:D sometimes, but I fear adding another time sink to my already large Steam pile of shame.
