will an old man Daniels run be better or worse than old man Lynn's run

Better, because a Daniels run is overdue as hell (even if he doesn't necessarily want it), he actually spent a long time with the company, and his reign won't be part of the creative team loving up putting the title on the super-over young guy until it's almost too late.

Was this their upcoming Super Card of Honor show? It did seem like they stopped promoting Yoshi-Hashi for awhile

Granted, that could've also been because they realised no one buys a show just to see Yoshi-Hashi.

Gresham wrestled as Hieracon as part of the Osisirian Portal, didn't he? He looked pretty impressive back then (around 2010/2011-ish) and I'm surprised it took this long for him to land a longer-term job with ROH (or god-forbid TNA).

Are you suggesting ROH is not headed for happier, greener pastures now that they brought in the Spirit Squad?

durk said the flip gordon line is a reference to being the elite so it may not be indicating the match.

Yeah, the Elite guys have been 'hazing' Flip in every episode for the last 3 months or so.

Great Kevin Dunn'esque camera work on the V-Trigger that followed that:

And yeah, this reveal happened waaay too soon, could've at least had Bury 'accidentally' cost Cody a title shot or something.

Vulture Squad 4 life

When it comes to bad stables from that time, nothing beats The Resilience, founded by Aries, who shortly after was forced to work for TNA only, and made up of guys like Erick Stevens, Matt Cross, and someone else, with at least one of them usually injured or written out for storyline reasons.

WWE was interested in them after that but they don't want to move to Florida because they have families and NXT would be a pay cut. They'd also have to give up farming.

Plus they probably have a few too many concussions between them for WWE to consider them now, especially Mark.

exploded mummy posted:

lol how do you get to be more deceptive than wwe when it comes to world champion booling

Well, TNA had a habit of selling their UK tours on the promise that Jeff Hardy would be headlining the tour as champ, only to have him 'injured' on an Impact episode 3 days before tour start because, who could have known, Jeff wasn't allowed to leave the country.

I mean, ROH these days seems to follow TNA's old MO of just copying whatever WWE does, just in a dumber way, and regardless of whether what WWE did was good or bad to begin with.

In light of Toru turning a page in his life and doing a serious G1, let's remember the good times when he brought his cheating and DVD-selling craft to ROH:
