glowing-fish posted:Where did you live? I never saw that commercial, but I grew up in Washington/Oregon, where air conditioning wasn't as common. I never had a house with air conditioning growing up. Neither did I , and we lived in the loving desert. Strangely, when my Dad had to be home for several summer weeks, it suddenly got installed. Timing was downright uncanny, I tell you.
