i was at the gate at speicher in oif3 grabbing locals for some building project to babysit them and make sure they werent counting steps or mapping poo poo out for mortar reference a trucker got caught bringing a bottle of whiskey in the soldier that found it held it over his head like a basketball net cut off at the end off march madness. it was midday so the sun caught it ay just the right angle that it looked like the staff of ra in raiders of the lost ark. the entire gate stopped moving to view the glory that sat before them ill never forget that visual, couldnt have been more perfect a moment if it had been planned
