I really want to buy BF6 but it's so expensive and I'm waiting for the EA micro transaction bullshit shoe to drop.

Buy duckov, it will be a better investment and time spender, even though it's single player.

That shoe dropped a while ago... they're selling $12 skins, in-game currency, battle pass skips, probably other stuff I'm not aware of.

Still a good game, but it is monetized out the rear end.

Am I correct in my assumption, you fish-faced enemy of the people?
Luckily scrubs are still gonna scrub so pubstomping Gucci'd out EA paypigs is fun regardless, you just have a few extra things to ignore in the menus.

This is the way. I'm not worlds greatest player by any stretch, but it's still a ton of fun dunking on pubs.

Anyways, Half Life is getting a sequel announcement in the coming weeks. World's worst kept secret at this point but I actually believe it's happening this time.

Just in case y'all didn't notice (and liked Outer Worlds 1), Outer Worlds 2 came out. Each faction has a fallout-style radio station which means: hours of jingles!

And they outright hired a 14-piece orchestra to do a whole bunch of them, so if you like murdering things to swing, they've got you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQRTWLAbMJ4

There are also multiple anthems celebrating the patriotism of unquestioningly participating in industrial accidents.

Oh nice that’s on my to check out list.

Been giving Tyranny a try, so far so good. High concept premise of being in bad guy’s army, with competent writing so it works. Excellent attention to player choices and backstory, with strong emphasis on what you’re saying matters so don’t just go through conversation checklists.

Game is good, and not as ballbustingly brutal out the gate as Zero Sievert

You get some great reactions out of the Chorus at the beginning if you do this.

It already did

Once they launched the battlepass the game got spammed with ads basically everywhere, including bonuses you only get with a subscription

LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY AS IT'S INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT!
Here's a weird hole I've fallen into-

Fans of any sport with an EA-produced video game have the exact same complaints; the games are annual $60 roster updates, with disappearing features and janky gameplay. Plus all the actual development money goes towards Ultimate Team bullshit to keep kids buying vaporware Pokemon.

Add to that, that the NHL game apparently has a budget of like 10 cents to do updates on compared to the rest of EA Sports. So I thought about getting NHL 26, and read all the bad reviews, and uh....bought it anyway.

I hadn't bought an NHL game since 2005. So apparently the Franchise mode, with scouting and drafting and all that extra-ness, which they loudly complain hadn't been changed in years, is, uh, new to me. So I've now got a voluminous spreadsheet of who's on my NHL team, my AHL team, who's developing, and what their timeline is for bringing up to the bigs.

It's kinda funny getting poopsock-obsessed (seriously, so much time in the game the last two months) over a nearly universally reviled video game franchise.

Lol nice yeah enjoying it so far but definitely seeing will need another playthrough. I like how it’s well written and doesn’t handwave you’re the bad guys and some companions like Verse are straight up serial killers, but also good with ranged damage, so…

Stained, dirty, smells like weed, possibly a relic from the sixties.

Now that I've thoroughly beaten the absolute piss out of Hades 2, I'm finally giving Sifu a spin. First impression: it's real fun being the main character in a kung fu action movie. The hallway scene from Oldboy comes up pretty early on, and it's a thing of beauty. Button mashing doesn't look like it'll get me far, but I've got Hyrule Warriors if I just want to get stoned and turn my brain off. I just wish the camera was a little more responsive, keeping tabs on everyone that needs to eat a foot is a little harder than it needs to be.
