I used to be very involved in my department club until we took our first club trip to a geology conference. During this trip the following happened:

-Kid complained about the mouth feel of the local water

-A 27 year old woman refused to ride the bus to the conference by herself. I had to ride back to escort her. It was a 15 minutes trip

-I woke up to the weird girl trying to shove my flaccid member in her. Still don't know how she ended up in my room

-Got food poisoning from the Mexican restaurant attached to th hotel.

------------------

I no longer participate in school clubs.

Real talk, clubs are a great way to meet people/contacts and, depending on the club, learn or hone skills. Once I get over myself I'm planning on participating again.

Weird super friendly horse girl with a flat butt was my accountability buddy for the week. Asked her to help make sure I didn't go overboard with the drinking one night when we were all partying. She ended up holding the bottle of whisky to my mouth when I couldn't hold it myself anymore. We all ended up playing truth or dare and I told a bunch of terrible stories about whore ports and went back to my (private) room to pass out. Woke up a while later to this girl rear end naked on top of me trying to thread a cooked noodle through the eye of a needle. I told her to gtfo, she was like "oh sorry I thought you wanted to." We chatted for a while and I ended up banging her and eventually urinating on her because that's what weird horse girls are into (no complaints). Regretted it deeply in the morning.

4/10 would not drink on a school trip again

E: upping the score to a 6/10 because she gave decent head

Applying for my first internship today :ohdear:

Working for the USGS is kind of my dream gig so I really hope I get this, despite only having taken like 4 geoscience related classes.

Also, anyone know what being a "10 point" veteran means exactly? I'm above 30% disabled according to the VA, filled out a sf-15 etc, I just don't know how their point system works.

Being a 10 point veteran is like a cheat code when it comes to fed hiring, it's supposed to bump you to the top of the heap among similarly qualified applicants without points. If you have the same qualifications as someone, but you have the points and they don't, you should get the job assuming you don't bomb the interview. That's how it's supposed to work at least.

10 points and a history degree landed me the chillest job ever with the natty archives in Colorado. :feelsgood:

If you've already filled out the SF-15 you just need to upload your VA letter showing your disability rating when you send in your junk on usajobs.

Nice! Thanks for the info. Applied yesterday, so fingers crossed. My resume was poo poo since it was previously tailored for info sec, but hopefully that doesn't hurt me too much.

The 10-point thing almost makes the PTSD and TBI (the classic combo) worth it. Almost.

Im sure that having a good internship is super important to my future and stuff, but not smoking weed loving sucks. I'm on day two of no weed after smoking daily for two years. Couldn't sleep last night, no appetite today, and my body aches. Whoever said you couldn't get addicted to weed may have been wrong.

My roommate suggested doing 20 push-ups everytime I had the urge to pack a bowl. That's that kind of hokey boot camp bullshit that I love.

As for the sleep, it's mostly the dreams that bother me. Weed made me not dream.

Do not recommend. My most recent horse girl slam piece started peeing in my bed as she orgasmed. Never have I ever been so conflicted. As the owner of the bed I was going "Oh nooo!!!", but as a sexual deviant I was thinking "Oh yeah!"

This is the second horse girl who has urinated on/near me. This post is getting weird so I'll stop.

In other news, how likely is it that vocrehab will buy me a laptop? I have a GIS/stats course, and only have an iPad. My fear is that they will only approve some sub $500 plastic crap, and not the $800+ machine needed to run ARcGIS. I emailed my counselor but figured I'd make conversation in the meantime.

Edit: I'm also now in a course/lab with both horse girls, plus a normal girl that I dated for a while, plus a non-normal girl that I hooked up with. They are all sitting together and talking and it's terrifying and you should never sleep with someone in your department.

I had lunch with two of my friends-who-are-girls this afternoon. I offered advice on finding a good lease and lent my ear to gossip about boys. It was really enjoyable and I wish I took more time to get to know the people around me. One kid in my lab was really stressed about general life stuff so we shared a cigarette and just talked for a while outside. Tears were shed and hugs were given. It's just been a really nice enriching day.

I keep hearing feds are the opposite of private industry in that brevity is to be avoided, and you're supposed to kitchen sink these motherfuckers. Is that true in reality? I can turn my resume into a novel, but I'd like to know it's worth the effort first.

My regular resume is one page, my federal resume is almost 7. My advice to everyone looking at fed jobs is to use the USAjobs resume builder and keep it up-to-date.
