I was really hoping he'd be sold somewhere :-/

United's current midfield options are Pogba, Herrera, Old Man Carrick, Old Man Schweinsteiger, Fellaini and some kids who never play. Unless Jose is planning on buying 3 new central midfielders next year it makes sense to hold onto him as backup for the time being. Or if he is offloaded in the summer at least it will be for a fee now rather than on a bosman.

You can bloody tell he doesn't want to play by watching him, he's directly cost us some important games this season

West Ham should try and sell Payet for whatever silly money they can get for him while he's still in his 20s and has a great reputation. It's unlikely Payet will ever be as good for West Ham in the future as he has been and he'll hit 30 in the summer and his value will drop.

Probably a Belge, that's a thing they do.

Remember when they said that this time they meant it, and they were definitely bringing the best team in Europe to a competition, and then they got clowned on by Hal Robson-Kanu, a player with literally no interest in him? I do.

Not targeting you, but I feel like a lot of people will make posts like this and not be able to back it up with anything. I'm not the most active poster of all, but I think I would have remembered people saying Fellaini is a top midfielder.

Unless this was around the time he did that little spin move. He definitely got a lot of mileage out of that one.

It was back when he played for Everton (or maybe the mancs had just bought him) but the hype was very, very real.

I urge people to buy the upgrade and dig through the archives. Unfortunately I don't have the time, because I'm about to have sex with my wife.

I think Fellaini is a pretty decent player and I think all top clubs need a large squad with all the competitions so idk why keeping him seems like such a big deal.

At Everton Fellaini happened to be in a system that highlighted his strengths and hid his weaknesses, so I'm unsurprised if some posters here maybe saw him as one of the league's better midfielders around the time of his move to Man U. I don't remember the kind of "best in Europe" hyperbole though.

I remember "Fellani is the best" chat. It was his last season at Everton were he was playing a more advanced role than usual and he started scoring a bunch of goals.
