Cedric Ogbuehi completely sucks rear end and now we're going to have to break the bank for a 36 year Andrew Whitworth. Kevin Zeitler might end up walking because of this situation despite being easily the most consistent dude on our line this year (non-Whit division).

Dre Kirkpatrick did just enough to ensure we make him a big offer, but not enough to really deserve it. Our LBs were collectively pretty bad although they were really dragged down by how horrible Rey Maualuga and Karlos Dansby were. Geno and Carlos Dunlap were studs as usual although they really need help. Hopefully Andrew Billings is ready to step in for Domata Peko, although if Marvin has his way Peko will be starting for us until he's 40.

The kicker situation was a nightmare and we absolutely have to draft somebody.

Jeremy Hill is a pumpkin and should be selling insurance.

Most importantly, Marvin Lewis will still be here to sit comfortably and keep playing dudes who are completely washed. Hurray!

Kirk Cousins will be the QB next year. He'll either get franchised or they'll work out some kind of deal. Either way he's Good Enough and frankly that's something Washington hasn't had for two decades.

Theoretically we'll have a Josh Doctson next year. Guess that will send DeSean Jackson back to Philadelphia. Either way we have a ton of passing weapons and I won't feel bad seeing some turnover here. Jordan Reed's inability to stay healthy will necessitate keeping a decent backup and I could see Vernon Davis hanging around another year.

We have a very solid line, with two pro bowlers and tons of youth. This remains one of our biggest strengths and something we can capitalize on in the future. We need to address the left guard position but otherwise I like where this line is going.

Our run gun is poo poo. Matt Jones is turning into a bust in the third round, Rob Kelley is largely pedestrian, and Chris Thompson is a receiving back. Maybe Keith Marshall will surprise everyone next year but I suspect this is a position of need.

Defense is our weakness. Cornerbacks are inconsistent, Josh Norman is a knucklehead, our safeties are porous, and the line had no real answer against the run game. That's not going to fly in this division, especially with the Eagles and Cowboys having extremely solid lines.

Coaching seemed hit or miss. Clock management was ridiculous and I get the feeling that Gruden is overwhelmed some times, but our defense is the real question. Is Joe Barry worth having around? Given the injuries and inconsistency it's hard to tell, but it definitely feels like he's replaceable.

Prediction next year: Playoffs!

The Eagles have a good chance of being a great team next year so I'm pretty positive. Hopefully our offensive line will stay off the dope and we can somehow craft a competent receiving corps.

Here's hoping a team wins the Super Bowl that's not the Patriots, Giants, or Cowboys. Go Packers.

Bengals have a lot of cap space because Bengals love to frontload contracts. They COULD extend a lot of people, but let's see if they do.

Peko should come back if he's cheap and with the knowledge that he'll get the boot if the young people we have show up. I'd be fine with that.

Lewis already said there's gonna be a kicking competition and Bullock may/may not be a part of it.

We looked like dogshit but still made the playoffs b[cause the rest of the division has stupid owners imploding their teams (rams, frisco) or are built on navajo burial grounds or whatever. Maybe we can sneak out a playoff win like in 2009 and make our draft poition worse but I doubt it. This team feels worse than the 09 squad.

I hope one of those teams is desperate enough to poach Cable and/or Bevell from us.

I would also like to list some positives to take away from this season.

Andy Dalton is amazing. Brandon Lafell was a good signing. Cody Core and Tyler Boyd were both wildly underutilized but seem like solid picks for now. Vontaze Burfict only got one personal foul all year, and it was for pushing Roethlisborger down once which seems like a normal thing to do.

I knew it would be bad.
I didn't know it would be so stupid.
The 49ers are rudderless, with an owner/CEO who could be a stand in at a Trump family reunion, and a roster with the most holes in the NFL.

Positives:
Several o-line players showed improvement over the season, with RT Trent Brown being a particular bright spot.
The d-line looks to have a lot of emerging young talent (Armstead was looking great before his injury, Buckner & Blair had fantastic rookie seasons).
The young CBs likewise look to have some breakout candidates (Ward, Robinson may turn out to be a fantastic duo if they can both stay healthy).
Carlos Hyde is still awesome.

Negatives:
4 coaches in 4 years. The players will have to learn yet another system.
No QB (literally. Kap will almost certainly opt-out).
No WRs (not quite as literal, but close enough to be true).
One dimensional or poo poo TEs.
Bowman has had two catastrophic leg injuries, and the rest of the LB corps is pretty hit-or-miss.
The safeties are highly drafted question marks.
No GM. Chief executives in charge of search are a doughy douchebag and an ex-hedgefund MBA.
The loving Yorks.

So, the Bills. They sure are a football team.

Record: 7-9
One game worse than last year, which was one game worse than the year before that. It's never good to be stuck in neutral.

Positves

-LeSean McCoy was an absolute beast after Anthony Lynn took over the offense after Week 2. In fact, he basically was the offense.
-Mike Gillislee, McCoy's back-up, is also good, giving us a good option to bring out to keep McCoy fresh.
- Lorenzo Alexander had a break-out season that included 12.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and a pick. Not too shabby for a 33 year-old signed to be a camp body.
- Zach Brown, the other free agent linebacker we signed, was also amazing
-Tyrod Taylor is a good quarterback
-We fired Rex Ryan and his idiot brother, which is great, because our defensive personnel still is and always was best suited to a 4-3

Negatives
-Sammy Watkins spent much of the year injured, and Robert Woods missed significant time as well. So did #3 wide receiver Marqise Goodwin. So we were forced to churn through the trash bin for wide receivers.
-Jordan Mills is a bad right tackle. Seantrel Henderson has Crohn's and then got suspended 10 games.
- Ronald Darby regressed terribly and Aaron Williams died(again), leaving to a revolving door of dregs at SS. Consequently, our secondary kinda blew.
-Marcel Dareus loves weed, got suspended, his contract has no off-sets for suspensions even though he has a history of getting suspended.
- The Bills apparently don't believe Tyrod Taylor is a good quarterback. E.J. Manuel is bad and a free agent. Cardale Jones is also bad.
- Apparently the Pegulas are super meddlesome and/or Doug Whaley is a controlling dick.
-Also the Pegulas know nothing about football

Impending Free Agents of Note
QB Tyrod Taylor?(the Bills would have to void his contract option)
CB Stephon Gilmore
ILB Zach Brown
WR Robert Woods

Grimey Drawer
Just because, I looked at the teams with no head coaches this offseason and tried to find some positives and negatives for a new coach heading to any of them. I was mostly successful in putting together this short primer.

Denver Broncos
Former Coach: Gary Kubiak
Reason for leaving: Health issues, retirement
Positives for a new coach: suffocating defense, and I don't mean with a pillow, I mean airlock into space; great skill position players on offense in some areas; John Elway is one of the best GMs; this might be the best team looking for a new head coach by a wide margin
Negatives for a new coach: Quarterback and O-Line are BAD, no guarantee they'll get better; expectations are unrealistically high for anyone coaching this team -- they're in superbowl or bust mode, so job security isn't a guarantee for losing out in the playoffs anymore

Los Angeles Chargers of San Diego in Inglewood
Former Coach: Mike McCoy
Reason for leaving: fired for being bad and boring
Positives for a new coach: extremely high talent level at most positions on offense and defense; top-tier quarterback in Philip Rivers; Tom Telesco is a competent GM that has shown significant progress in doing his job
Negatives for a new coach: terrible and meddlesome owners; limited to no say in personnel decisions; spectre of moving to LA still present and might affect the roster adversely; hostile fanbase; limited/no depth at most positions; extremely bad O-Line that needs serious work to protect Rivers; limited window for working with Rivers; injuries to top-tier talent has been a thing with no way to know if it'll continue or get better

Los Angeles Rams
Former Coach: Jeff Fisher
Reason for leaving: fired for being loving awful
Positives for a new coach: young QB and RB; some great players still on the roster; can be seen as the savior of the franchise if team does well and bring back the Los Angeles crowd
Negatives for a new coach: fickle fanbase with the lingering effects of the move from St Louis; limited talent on the roster with little/no depth at most positions; general manager is bad at drafting; have to play in the Colosseum

Buffalo Bills
Former Coach: Rex Ryan
Reason for leaving: fired by impatient owners, but did severely mismanage the defense
Positives for a new coach: competent offense; some good/great players on defense; best tailgate parties in the league
Negatives for a new coach: meddlesome owners who think they're in playoffs-now mode; no depth at most positions; quite possibly the front office is stupid enough to let Tyrod Taylor go

Jacksonville Jaguars
Former Coach: Gus Bradley
Reason for leaving: fired for being grossly incompetent
Positives for a new coach: quite possibly the best roster one could hope for with a 3-13 team; young talent throughout the roster; owner and front office are not overly meddlesome; job security for a new coach given how long Bradley had with them; Khan might let a new coach swim in that baller pool in the stadium
Negatives for a new coach: ownership and FO might actually be neglectful in their duties; Blake Bortles is not be a good QB and could drag a team down again; that one mascot that owned already retired

Santa Clara 49ers
Former Coach: Chip Kelly
Reason for leaving: fired along with GM in a massive housecleaning
Positives for a new coach: clean slate to work with
Negatives for a new coach: Have to deal with Jed York; no depth or talent at any position aside from a small handful of players; fanbase has given up on the team; seriously get out before it consumes you; massive exodus of players over the last couple years should be a real warning; limited capacity to attract top-tier free agents outside of overpaying; don't do it, let some other dipshit coach this team and deal with that manchild who's playing with his parents toys
