I normally tolerate Kevin Kelly on ROH shows, why the hell is he always so bad on NJPW shows? Romero was rubbish too

I cannot believe that in 2017, I am rooting for CJ Parker to win the New Japan Cup. He'll not win but they've been hinting pretty heavily towards him doing well, I've got a feeling he makes the semi. So, to be clear, is it on the Semi'a that are televised? Or have I picked that up wrong?

Excellent show again. New Japan haven't had a bad show since i started re-watching at WK. Wasn't a massive fan of Shibata/ZSJ. It was a good match but nothing memorable other than the ending, which was great. Looking forward to the New Japan Cup now. I think Omega will take it to set up a rematch with Okada later in the summer.

The only thing that makes me doubt the change would be that it's only the 1st defence for two legends. I think Sabre Jr takes the NEVER title aswell. It's clear they want to push the "look at how many titles this guy has" angle but also Goto's reign has been so loving sub par.

Do not even ask posted:I just been recently watching NJPW on the reg, but do you think the way cards are typically booked (multi-man paloozas, one or two singles matches near the top) may be a contributing factor to how you feel about the reign? Not really. The multi man tags are actually a great way to generate heat and build feuds. The problem is the ones that have involved Goto, he's not played a central or even supporting act in any of them (from memory). He's just.... there.

Watched the second half of the show last night. I love War Machine and it's clear they are super over with the Japanese crowd. It'd be nice to see them going on a run with the titles just destroying everyone. Shibata/Okada was great, the noise from that head butt made me legit cringe. Who'd have though CJ Parker would be one of the top faces in Japan? And for what it's worth, his in ring work has deserved it.

Every big card has delivered so far this year. On paper this looked the weakest of the lot but the last 4 matches were all really good in different ways. I preferred the Omega/Ishii match last month but this was still great. Tanahashi/Naito and Omega/Okada at Dominion should keep the run going.
