And to each their own! But I will never understand why open worlds like Horizon and AssCreed have linear platforming segments. It's one or the other, dammit. Platformers were fun when I had a gameboy. edit: To expand, why would people who enjoy open worlds want platform segments in their games and vice versa? Lots of great games come out of mixing and hybridizing different styles of gameplay in service of a narrative. That just reminds me of the old adventure games putting in arcade sequences. Which was a huge mistake as you might know. Mixing of two genres is always a bad idea, it always results in less attention to both.

Just got Horizon and having a blast. About 10 hours in, just arrived at Daytower. Should I take my time before going to Meridian as I've been doing or just go already.

Thanks for the tips. How do Divinity OS and Pillars of Eternity compare? I didn't know about them but they seem to be of the same style. PIE is the complete edition, prices are comparable.
