What is it? This is a goon tournament of the Jackbox Party Pack (the first one). It will feature all of the games except You Don't Know Jack, since those questions are fixed and stream delay makes it impossible anyway. How will this work? At least once a week, I will host a live stream of the Jackbox Party Pack. You can join the game via jackbox.tv and play to accumulate points. Point totals carry over from week to week, and whoever has the most points at the end wins! I will track both an overall winner (most points across all games) as well as winners by individual game (so there will be a Fibbage winner, a Drawful winner, etc.). What's the prize for winning? The real prize is friendship. When will it take place? I'm going to aim for one stream every Sunday as well as a second stream sometime during the week. I want to give enough opportunities for goons with various schedules and in various time zones to participate, after all. Advance notice of streams will be posted in the thread, probably about a week ahead and then a reminder the day before or day of. Each stream will cover one session of of each game (except YDKJ), and maybe a second if there's enough interested players to fill two rooms. How do I play? All you need is the ability to look at two browser tabs/windows. Just tune into the stream on one side, jackbox.tv on the other, enter the room code and your SA name to jackbox.tv, and you're in! You can even watch the stream on a computer and join jackbox.tv on your smartphone if you want! But for full immersion, you can grab a microphone and join the Something Awful Let's Play Discord server to chat along with me and any other goons doing likewise. No I mean how do I play these games? Oh. Drawful: Basically Pictionary with the serial number filed off. You draw a picture based on a prompt (so a mouse or touch screen is recommended). Then, each picture is shown and each player first types in what they think the prompt was, then selects from all the entries plus the real one, trying to guess the real one. Word Spud: Hot Potato with word chains. One player is given a word prompt (like "Hot") and enters a word or phrase to continue it (like "Potato"), then the other players vote a thumbs up or thumbs down on the combined phrase (like "Hot Potato"). If it's approved, the player gets points and the chain continues (so the next player would build off "Potato" with, say, "Pancake"). If it's not approved, the game generates a new prompt for the next player. Fibbage: Balderdash with the serial numbers filed off. The game will give everyone a prompt with a blank (like "In Chicago, there are more _____ in offices than people.") Each player then types in something to fill the blank that they think the others will believe. Then all the entries are shown along with the real answer, and each player tries to pick out the real one from all the fakes everyone wrote. Lie Swatter: The simplest game, which is why it supports up to 100 people in one room. The game will display a "fact" on screen, and each player simply picks whether they think it's a true fact or a lie. You get points for being right. Special thanks to CJacobs for the images! Next week's inaugural streams will be: Sunday, January 15th at 5 PM UTC (noon Eastern, 9 AM Pacific) and Monday, January 16th at 11 PM UTC (6 PM Eastern, 3 PM Pacfic) You don't have to reserve a spot by posting here, but I'd appreciate knowing roughly how many people are interested!

I am absolutely all for this and am hoping I'll be able to join as much as possible. How are the points being totaled overall? Will we be keeping track of our own for each game and posting them or is someone going to be designated to keep track?

Scores are going to be posted in the second post, once there's something to post there.

This sounds like fun! I can't guarantee my availability at this time on Monday, but I'm open on Sunday for sure.

Don't feel obligated to attend every stream. They are offset in time to accommodate various time zones on various continents.

I am all in on this. By the way, if you are going to get another Jackbox pack go for 3, since it has the better selection of games. 2 has my favourite one, Bidiots, but it also has the most duds such as Earwax and the bomb one.

I will hopefully remember, but I'm down for this as well. I've only played one of these games once (I forget which) so it'll be fun to play the others.

I'd really like to hop in on this! ...but I get off work at noon on Sunday and Monday will probably be taken by dinner instead. My work schedule is variable however, so I'll try to join in on future weeks at least.

I'd like to get in what games I can. I've always watched people play, but never really had the chance to join them myself. I might even be able to join chat! Assuming my mic isn't totally borked.

Elsewhere; twitch's stream delay is too much for this to be feasible. I'm going to link it when it's closer to being up but it should be on https://beam.pro/CirclMastr when it goes up.

Less than an hour until the first stream begins. Don't forget that you can join the Something Awful Let's Play Discord server (link in the OP) to join in on the conversation during the game!
