Night 1: Smoking a bowl in my car, facing the back of our apartment building, next thing I know, I hear screaming and a lady jumps out of the window, sprinting through the snow and falling down, continuing to scream. A dude (husband/boyfriend of chick) comes out, lady continues screaming while guy tries to calm lady down. I ask them if everything is ok, dude tells me "she was fine one minute then just flipped out", followed them both back to the apt, wife was standing outside, dude told wife to call cops, she did, they showed up, asked us a few q's and left. |

Night 2: Girl has like 5 dudes over, theyre all shitfaced and being loud as hell, apparently husband is at work, wife wakes me up at like 12:30am to ask me to call the cops because they're waking up our kid. Call the cops, they show up and talk to them. Later that night, one of their guests pee in the hallway, they leave a half-full 4 loko can out there. Girl throws herself in front of boyfriend/husbands car as he's trying to leave, girl (allegedly, didnt see it) headbutts a hole in the wall of their apt. |

Day 3 (morning): ~9AM, neighborgirl is naked and screaming for help outside my apt, let her in, she's still drunk from the previous night, says shes scared her husband/boyfriend is going to beat her. I call the cops, they show up, girl, still drunk, tells cops shes afraid her husband is going to beat her, says shes not allowed to talk to anyone or go anywhere by him, says she accuses her of cheating on him. Cops take statements, listen to our story, say to call again if anything happens. |

i hope you're talking to your landlord about this, too, because clearly there's something going on whether it's substance abuse, physical abuse, or whatever. i hope they get the help they need, and that you get the peace and quiet you deserve.

oh, part I left out, according to wife the group of dudes who were over the other night (when her husband/boyfriend wasnt there) were having a gangbang, based on the sounds coming throughthe walls while she was pooping. |

This is good advice. If it's an apartment complex, tell the management company. They will almost certainly fine the heck out of them or revoke their lease after multiple complaints. If it's a house next to yours not part of a community then I am sorry for your predicament.

did you happen to notice any unusual electrical surges from their apartment, or people coming and going that look somewhat anachronistic?

sounds like normal apartment life to me, tons of crazy poo poo happened when we were living in an apartment |
# ? Jan 8, 2017 23:33 |
So like if you need to protect your family from them you need to get rid of them asap like people are saying (despite my following point). But I think if someone in that relationship is being abused with an angry/violent person maybe making them homeless can cause them personal problems/abuse to escalate pretty bad so maybe having law fix it is better for that kind of situation. Having to deal with American poverty and class (from either side) is really problematic and annoying but do whats best for your immediate family. ---------------- |

I lived in an apartment for 5 years and the only bad things that ever happened was the downstairs neighbor played his music really loudly once and I told him to turn it down and he said he was sorry. |

yeah think about if you owned the building, would you kick them out? if the answer is yes, call the building owner, and he/she will almost certainly kick them out. owners want bad tenants even less than you want a bad neighbor.

I hope their replacement is a chill elderly lady who's really quiet except when she's practicing piano and its just barely audible and very pleasant and you and her alternate baking batches of cookies to share

Yeah, I lived in an apartment in a not-too-nice neighborhood for 2 years and never had much bad happen. I don't get people who find stories of screaming and property damage to be no big deal.

my neighbors smoke lovely weed in their garage with the door open, while burning dollar store incense to try to cover the smell. I wish they'd save the dollar and put it towards better weed.
