Ah, Super-Drive. There's no other place quite like it. Sure, working here might not be as exciting as my "regular" job, but there's a certain satisfaction that I get here that I can't get anywhere else. I've always loved cars, or more 'specifically, workin' on cars, ever since I was a youngin. I remember being told that cars were more of a boy thing, but that never stopped me! I just love taking 'em apart, seeing what makes them tick, and building them back up again, and now I'm being paid to do just that! It's all thanks to Hibiki-san for giving me this opportunity. Most places couldn't look past the whole "gal" part of me, but Hibiki-san? The old man saw what I had to offer, and hired me on the spot! 'Course, not everybody agreed with his decision. It's still a bit of an old boy's club in here, so most of men didn't really appreciate their "sacred" place being invaded by women, but it didn't take long for 'em to change their minds! Once they saw me add a rocket boost to an old scrap heap using nothin' but spare parts, they knew I was the real deal. They don't call me the "Auto-Wizard" for nothing! Only problem with having a reputation like that is that it also tends to attract some of the more... unsavory folk. Like this "gentlemen" right here. Now, I'm not one to badmouth someone's vehicle, but this thing of his is a real piece a' work. Whoever designed this had NO idea what they were doing! It's just one, giant mess glued together to form something with wheels. I can fix it up, give it some new parts, make it better. It'd be no problem for me, but the owner of this thing... he's being mighty shifty about it, and he doesn't look like he's strapped for cash. That suit of his looks like it costs more than anything else in this shop! It ain't helping that he's allergic to straight answers, too. I've been trying to get, well, anything out of him, but he keeps dodging my questions like he's trained in the art of deflecting conversations! He never even gave me his name! Just walked right in, and insisted I work on his car. Forget this. I'm not his personal auto-servant. If he's not going to let me work on his car, then he can forget about ever getting it fixed. I got other, more important projects to work on, like the Super Shinobi Mobile! Once I'm done with that beauty, it's going to be somethin' special, I can just feel it! ...Or, I WAS planning on moving on to another job, until Seiji-san walked in with a box of donuts, and who am I to deny such pastry goodness? Seiji. The other guys tease me about him a lot. He's the Prince of Motorcycles, the one who's smitten by the fair (and oily) Princess Mechanic. The prince tries to woo the mechanic with gifts of cake and sweets, but he is constantly shunned away by the princess, for you see, the princess has a love already! And that love... is her job. Ah, poor prince, try as he might, he cannot compete with the allure of vehicle maintenance. I let the guys have their fun, it's all harmless, after all. They think he's got a big crush on me, and I don't blame 'em for thinking that. We're pretty close, or at least, I like to think we're close. What happened during that mission... it was a real tragedy. So many lives lost that day, and all from faulty information. We fell right into a trap by another clan. They took us by surprise, and me and Seiji... we were the only people who survived that day. We still don't know who the clan was that attacked us. It was all one, big, blur. Ever since then, he's been blaming himself for what happened. ...But that was all in the past, and we're not living there anymore. We need to live in the now, and the now has some delicious round sweets waiting for me! "Seiji! Hey!" I run up to him, waving to him on the way. I excitedly open up the box, and marvel at what's inside, "And you bought my favorites! You're a real gentlemen, Seiji!" I munch on the savory sweets as Seiji continues talking, tellin' me he needs to talk to me about something. Judging by his tone, that "something" is related to my other job. I nod at him, donut still in my mouth. I gulp down, and say, "Yea, sure. I have just the place." I point at a room in the back with my thumb. "It's my own personal workshop. We can talk in private there."

"Yep!" I puff up my chest in pride, "Hibiki-san gave it to me as a reward for being a drat good mechanic!" I lead Seiji into my workshop, "Don't mind the mess," I say, after pushing the door open and revealing the messy clutter inside. Various spare parts and tools are practically littered all over the place. I never claimed to the be most organized person, okay? I grab an unopened juice box from the work bench, and lean back on the table. I take the phone with my free hand, and scroll through the information presented within while sipping on my juice. I listen quietly to the rest of what he has to say, and roll my eyes and sigh when he mentions clan infighting. "Politics. It's always about the politics, isn't it?" I say in an exasperated tone, "Imagine how much we could've gotten done if those old geezers decided to work together instead of constantly bickering with each other." Isn't the whole point of our clan unification? How can we hope to unify the other clans when we can't unify ourselves? Fujibayashi... I've never met her, but I've heard the stories about her. Genius inventor, descendant of a famous ninja clan, uses some kind of experimental blade. Not someone I'd ever want to face in direct combat, that's for sure. It's too bad we're working separately because of office politics. I would have loved to have worked together with her, and share ideas together. "Don't worry," I look at Seiji, and give him a reassuring smile, "I'll be fine. Whatever it is, I'm sure I can handle myself. I always have." "But you are right, it is a little strange," my smile slowly starts to disappear, "Why would Tenzen need to secure a safe route? Seiji," I set down my juice box, and put a hand on his shoulder, "Is there something happening soon that I need to be aware of?"

Inugami's Scene Someone's already taken the Kamikiri. I suppose I should be worried... but I'm really not. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to study the blade, but it really does seem like it's more trouble than it's worth. What's the point of obtaining it if it drives our clan further apart? There's just going to be more bickering, more infighting, more backstabbing (literal and figurative), and not enough gettin' things done. We risk our lives constantly, and for what? So a bunch of old jerks can argue over who gets all the credit. Why am I still doing this ...Duty. That's what Obaasan would say. You do it out of a sense of duty for your clan. If not duty, then do it out of a sense of hope. Hope that everything you've been doing is making a difference. Hope for a better future. Hope... that everything will just work out in the end. I wonder about that sometimes. ...Ah well. Things aren't all that bad. I got some taiyaki, and a bag of sweets! The Kamikiri can wait, I am going to gorge myself with candy first (I have a bit of a sweet tooth, okay?)! Ooh, maybe I should make a quick oden stop! I'm going to need lots of energy, after all! ...Which I would, if I didn't get distracted by the cutest puppy in the world. "Oh mah gaw! Ish sho' cue'!" I say, not realizing I still have the taiyaki in my mouth. I bite down on it, and remove it from my mouth. "Hey," I turn to the young girl next to the puppy, "Is this your puppy? He's so adorable! Would you mind if I pet him?"

Inugami's Scene I crouch down, and pet the cute, little pup, "You don't have a home, huh? That's a real shame." I look at the innocent thing, with sad eyes, until an idea pops in my head, "Oh! I know! You can come live with me! I can get you cleaned up, and properly fed, and you'll have a nice, big house to run around in!" Plus, Aoki would probably love to have a little friend around the house to keep her company while me and Obaasan are away, "What'd ya think, boy? Would ya like to stay at my place?" I stand back up, and turn to the young girl, "Oh, sure! I'd love to join ya!" I set the big bag of sweets next to the chair, and sit down next to her. I extend a hand to the girl, "The name's Naomi. Sasaki Naomi! Nice ta meetcha, Ms...?"

Inugami's Scene "Me? Oh, it's nothing special. I work as a mechanic for Super-Drive," And I'm also a ninja in my spare-time, but she doesn't need to know that, "They call me the "auto-wizard" over there, but it's just a silly little title." A few minutes later, the oden I ordered arrives, "Mm~ That smells good!" I clap my hands together, and say, "Thanks for the meal!" before I start happily digging into the food. "Wow! You weren't kidding! This is great!" "Sho," I gulp down on the boiled egg that I shoved in my mouth, "You're a delivery girl for Aoyama, huh? Neat! What's it like? I bet you must've met a lot of interesting people!" This is nice. Meeting a new potential friend, adopting an adorable puppy, eating good food, not having to worry about clan politics. If only more days were as peaceful as this one.

Inugami's Scene "Sure can! Just bring it over to the shop, and I'll personally fix it up for you! Who knows, maybe I'll think of giving you a discount," I wink at Sachiko. I almost spit out my drink from her impression of the western man, "Wow! He sounds like one heck of a character! I wish I met more people like that in my line of work. I usually get stuck with the jerks," I flashback to the sleazy guy who kept me waiting for a whole hour, and shake my head, "There's always that one guy who loves making your work difficult. Ugh, and don't get me started on the guys that try to flirt with me while I'm working. Couldn't they save it until after I'm done replacing their engines?" "Anyways, a name, huh?" I turn, and gently grab onto the pup with both hands, and lift him up, "I was thinking... Hikari- light. I'm not sure why, but I just feel like fits him. What do you think?" Inugami's Scene Aw, look at the cute, little thing, trying to show his affection! How could one puppy be so adorable? "You got it! I'll make sure to ask for you next time I call!" I grin back at her, "Going solo sounds like it could be rough, but you seem like the kind of gal who could handle it. Let me know whenever you decide to start your own business, and I'll help spread the word for you!" I finish up my oden, and drink the rest of my beer. Ah~ That hit the spot. There's nothing like a good meal after a hard day's work. I put what I owe on the counter (as well as a little extra), and bring out my phone. I turn to Sachiko, and say, "Here, let me give you my number. If you ever want to meet up again, please, let me know! I'll make sure to bring Hikari with me, too!" I give Sachiko my biggest grin. I pick up my bag, and get up from my seat, "It was great meeting you, Sachiko. I had a great time! We should really do this again. Maybe we can do karaoke next time? I mean, if you don't mind." "Come on, Hikari," I motion for the little pup to follow me, "Let's take you to your new home." I wave goodbye to Sachiko as I walk away, "Bye, Sachiko! Take care!"

Hanako's Scene "Huh?" I turn to the direction of the voice, "Excuse me? Were you talking to-" I let out a small gasp as soon as I see who was talking to me, "Fujibayashi-san...?" I say, my voice filled with surprise, "What-what are you doing here? You- you weren't spying on me, were you?" No, that can't be it. Why would the clan send someone to spy on their own? That makes no sense. "Also, don't you think it's too late to tell me not to get involved? I thought we were supposed to be working towards the same goal?" Hanako's Scene Wow. I heard that Hanako-san can be a bit cold, but I didn't know she could be so rude. She's not wrong about me being more careful with my words, but she didn't have to be such a jerk about it! Ugh! Who does she think she is!? I should give her a piece of my mind! ...No, no. I need to calm myself down. Telling her off (no matter how much I want to do it) wouldn't solve anything. I take a deep breath, and, once my nerves start to calm down, I sit next to Hanako-san. "You know, nothing good ever comes from driving people away," I say, in a soft tone, "We're all stronger together than we are apart, after all," or at least, that's what Obaasan would say. I reach into my bag of sweets, and pull out the spare taiyaki I've been saving up for later. I hand it to Hanako, "Here. You must be pretty hungry by now, Hanako-san. It's not much, but it is delicious!" I say, with a smile on my face. Sora's Scene Uggghhhhh. I should be searching for the Kamikari, but Obaasan has me running errands for her instead. She's always going on about duty, loyalty to your clan, the importance of our mission and all that, and then she goes and shoves a huge list of errands on me, and tells me to get it all done right away. I guess making sure the house is well-stocked up on toilet paper is more important than finding a mystical dagger. Hm? Was that my phone? Oh! It's a message from Sachiko! Sachiko-chan posted:I'd love to! I'm actually near the area (running some errands for the family), so I should be able to meet up with you soon after you're done! Annnd sent. At this point, I'll never find the Kamikari, but at least I'll get to hang out with Sachiko again! Ooh, stomach's growling. I knew the ramen I had a few minutes ago wouldn't be enough. Maybe I'll make a quick stop at the Izakaya nearby? It's not like I'm in any hurry, and a few drinks wouldn't hurt! Besides, I need to rest my feet from all the walking I've done today. They're getting pretty store. I make my way there, and once I walk in, the first thing I see in front of me is a familiar green-haired figure. "...Sachiko?" I say with surprise. Wow, what were the chances of me running into her here? And... what is with this tension in the air? Did I walk in at a bad time? Tardzilla fucked around with this message at 17:35 on Feb 5, 2017 |

Hanako's Scene Huh? What what was that all about? Is she trying to tell me something? She can't be talking about Hikari, can she? No, that's impossible. Hikari is a cute, innocent little puppy. How can anyone consider something with a face as cute as that a threat? I slump against the bench, "No, not much," I lean closer to her, and whisper, "I know it's been taken, but by who, I have no idea. What about you? Have you found anything yet?" Sora's Scene "O-oh!" I smile back at her, "Yes! Sure! I'd love to join you! And yea, I'm starving. I've been walking all day, and I've worked up one heck of an appetite! And uh, maybe, you know," I look away from her for a moment, as a big goofy grin crosses my face, "We can... go for karaoke afterwords? If... you're not too busy, or anything." I look over to the man who was offering us both drink. Huh, there's something familiar about him. I wonder what it is? "Uh," I look back at Sachiko, "Is that man a friend of yours?"

Hanako's Scene "Hm," I lean down, and gently scratch Hikari behind his ears, "Calm down, boy. I'm still here, nothing's going to hurt you." Once he's calmed down enough, I sit back up, and turn my attention back to Hanako-san, "Shibuya is a big city, but I think we should be able to cover more ground if we work together. We'll need to search places with increased Shinobi activity and hope we can find some clues there." "And Hanako-san," I place a hand on her shoulder, "I know things are a little... complicated right now," especially with how much infighting there's been within our clan, "But that doesn't mean we should be rivals. You and I have been given an important task, and I really think it would be better if we work together on this. I don't care about which of us takes the dagger as long as one of us has it." I give her a warm smile, and say, "Let's do our best, Hanako-san!" Sora's Scene I... am totally lost. Who are these people, and why do they keep talking to us? Did I walk into a secret Shinobi den or something? Why can't these people mind their own business and let me have a nice meal with my friend? I look back at Sachiko, "Hey, um, do you want to just head over to the karaoke place right now instead? At least we'll be able to get some privacy there." Yep, it'll just be me and her, and no rude drunks butting in. Just me, and Sachiko. Alone. As friends. Yes. Just friends. "...S-so," I stutter, as I feel my face going slightly red, "S-should w-we h-h-head out r-right now!?"

Hanako's Scene Gosh, someone needs to teach this girl to lighten up a little. "Alright," I nod, "Sounds good to me. If anything comes up, I'll let you know. Anyways," I get up from the bench, "I should be heading off now. You take care now, alright?" I motion for Hikari to follow me as I walk away, "Come on, boy. Let's head back home!" Hikari-san was acting a little strange, but I can't fault her for being too cautious. It would be nice if she could open up, even a little. Maybe I should invite her out with me and Sachiko-san? Yea, we can have a girl's night out! Maybe that'll help loosen her up a little! What could possible go wrong there?

Naomi's Scene quote:<Hugzilla> Drama scene go! it all happened so fast. We left the Izakaya, me and Sachiko-san, and made our way to the karaoke bar. It was raining pretty heavily, and I remember us running through the rain, holding hands, and laughing all the way. We made it to Karaoke Pasera Shibuya, and we rented a room for just the two of us. I was so nervous, and I wasn't even sure why. It's not like this was my first time doing karaoke! I've gone plenty of times with my co-workers, and it's not like I'm shy about singing! But for some reason, being around Sachiko-san put my nerves on edge, and my heart... I remember my heart was beating so fast, it felt like it was about to leap out from my chest. It got a little better once we got our drinks and we actually started singing. Sachiko-san sang a few Enka songs (It's not usually my thing, but Sachiko-san has such an amazing, and beautiful, singing voice), and I, uh, sang a few of my favorite anime songs (Don't judge me!). We sang, and drank late into the night. It was so much fun. It's been so long since I've been able to enjoy myself like this. I'm not sure if it was from all the alcohol, but I remember... looking at Sachiko-san, and thinking how she had the warmest, and most beautiful smile I've ever seen. I remember staring at her eyes, unable to look away from them. I remember inching closer to her, and closing my eyes. I remember... ...Oh. I open my eyes, and there, right in front of me, with her arms wrapped around my neck, and mine around her waist, is Sachiko-san, our faces practically an inch apart from each other. "Did... did we just...?"

Naomi's Scene I hold Sachiko-chan closer to me, and gently stroke her hair. This... is nice. Really nice. It's enough to make me forget about the stress of the last few days. I almost wish we could stay like this forever, but I know we can't, but... maybe I can make this night last a little longer? "Sachi-chan, uh," I look at her, blushing just as much as she is, "I... uh, hope you don't mind me asking, but would you... like to stay over my place tonight? You could see Hikari again, and we could, uh... "talk" for a little while longer..." Oh jeez, I hope that didn't come off as too forward, "Uh... if you want to, I mean. I just... well, you know," I didn't think it was possible for my face to get even redder, but it did, "...Want to spend a little more time with you."

Naomi's Scene Mm~ Feels just as good as the first time. I hold onto Sachi-chan's hand, and gently pull her up with me. I say, "Let's head out then," in a soft voice, and lead her to the exit, never letting go of her hand the whole way through. --- "Mmmm..." Sachi-chan is already asleep. That was... God, how do I even begin to describe it? The moment we shared tonight was... beyond words. It's a good thing Obaasan isn't home today, and Aoki is staying over at a friend's house, heh. I hold on tight to Sachi-chan, never wanting to let go of this wonderful, warm feeling. I remember asking myself, "Why am I still doing this?" And I think I've found my answer; I do it for the people who are precious to me. I do it to create a better tomorrow for them. I do it, for my family, for my sister, and now, I do it for Sachi-chan. I will bear whatever hardships there might be, so that they will be able to live more peaceful lives. I'll do it all, for my clan, for my late parents, for Obaasan, for Aoki... ...And for Sachi-chan. quote:<HugzillaPhone> Rolling to establish emobond
