When DIY got eliminated first it really took a lot out of the NXT tag match. Nowhere close to the level of the other DIY/Revival Takeover matches, imo

Roman wasn't. The entire thing felt flat. There were several botches, not just the tombstone, including the finish. If the post-match happened after a four star match, then it would have been the greatest wrestling segment ever. Instead it was flat for me.

It’s not WMotY being objectively bad, it’s based on wasted potential, poor booking and a poor layout. The Shield reunion and Angle’s return are two of the biggest cards they can play, and they both were overbooked to death. Kane and Braun should have just had their own segment, and not been part of this match at all. Miz/Bar vs Shield should have been the match, it didn’t need to be no DQ at all. A regular match would have been better as booked, and better with the addition of Angle. Instead, it’s big moment was a garbage truck.
