The Obama years have been a mess, but this is even more true for video games than almost anything else. If I had to rank the things that have suffered the most over the past 8 years, I'd probably say:

1) Yemen
2) Video Games
3) White Males

But I want to focus on #2. Obama's policies led to an endless string of survival crafting games that never left Beta, 3rd person mixed genre games that mostly existed to tell failed movie scripts, and an endless stream of mother. loving. zombies.

I think we can agree- neoliberalism can no longer produce good games.

But where do we turn? What ideology and institutions should young gamers through their weight (haha) behind to get us out of this rut?

Workers only need the socially necessary 6 good games a year, which is why the central planning of a proletarian dictatorship is best suited for realizing quality gaming.

As a luxury socialist, I think you need to do better.

I've noticed every Western game that's good is only good by virtue of its writing, except for Goldeneye 64.
