That first thing is actually three separate sentences all containing a single word, so it could be better described as "Three. Sentence. Fragments." You're. Very. Welcome.

Lately every street/subway ad by some tech startup is done in some atrocious, simple graphic style. They all look the same and it always looks like who ever was in charge couldn't be bothered to hire a designer to do it, rather they have their programmer poo poo it out on their off day. Lyft is the latest culprit guilty of this and I can't wait for this trend to die in a fire.

Considering your eyes might give it 2 seconds of time your brain can process the images/symbols and words like pedestrian signs, but then it breaks the hypnosis of all the city signs and makes you think. Wait, a car that's a roller skate? A rabbit? Your wheels in your brain start turning and now it's in your memory.

It looks like a gaudy, hot mess and the first lazy idea that someone came up without the effort of refining it. And unfortunately your not glancing at it for 2 seconds, your looking at it on the train for a half hour when there's nothing else to look at. And the thing is, I've seen about ten dozen ads that look exactly like this and I can't remember the name of a single one of them because they all scream boring and uninspiring. The only reason I remember Lyft is because I remembered their previous ad campaign after seeing this and it was far more interesting to look at.

What about an ad that almost seamlessly blends in with its environment with a subtly contrasted brand in the corner or somewhere aesthetically pleasing? Like you don't see it really. it's just a little off from what's there, bricks, concrete, flora, sky, water, but you gotta focus in on it if you wanna see it.
