Honestly, I agree with this. Armed protest puts fear into Authoritarians and that's the only thing they know how to respond to outside of money. The problem is that current police are a lot more trigger happy and don't have the issues the FBI has about shooting armed civilians without provocation. It has to be with guns though. Not just makeshift cudgels or other weapons, but firearms. It's sorta clear now how the FBI treats armed occupations based on Malheur, but city police and county sheriffs are another issue. Maybe even moreso in redder states. Possible results from this would likely be: Banning armed protest (possible 1st or 2nd Amendment violations), increased gun restrictions (possible 2nd Amendment violation and harkens back Reagan's governorship), increased police militarization.

Eh, I can kinda understand why people are protesting. The whole "WELL WHY DON'T YOU GET INVOLVED IN POLITICS THEN?!?" argument kinda falls apart when Democrats are 100% cucked both ideologically and logistically and Republicans control all branches of government. Protests are expressions of anger, whether they "work" or not is kinda a pointless discussion, like whether crying "works" to make things better.
