I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'm looking for a bad, early 90's point and click adventure game that's probably available on Steam or somewhere.

Here's what I remember:

The character sprites are all comprised of photographs of actors. The world is (at least at the beginning) a 1950's Americana suburban neighborhood. But everything seems sinister. There is a funny "ending" that involves a one-legged security guard who is guarding a nuclear missile. If your character fucks with him, he attempts to shoot you, falls and hits the button, blowing up the world. There are other bad endings that involve pissing off an old granny or a little girl, both who shoot you to death with a handgun.

Harvester.

IIRC Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts also had some real terrible Jiggy Physics.

I bought a DOA once, I think 2 for the PS2, because I enjoyed Tekken 3 and wanted to try some more 3D fighting games. I had more fun with the other 3D fighting game I got nobody ever talks about, Bloody Roar 3, which I hated because of the final boss who I swear was a dirty cheat.

I don't think I even played DOA 2 enough to reach the final story mode boss.

Have we already discussed Devolver Digital hinting at Metal Wolf Chaos?

That game has no place in this Terrible Awful Games Thread.

And the reason is...

Because you play the President of these United States of America! :911:

For all his faults, at least president Michael didn't end his term with a blown up Earth.

Unless that happens in MWC2.

If it also involves a hovercraft that explains a lot.

The beta had a bug where pressing any button on the launcher caused the game to uninstall itself and force you to download the 50GB client again. I know it's a beta, but how does something like that get sent to people?

Yeah, the game as is is the worst, but the DLC will more than make up for it, based on the preview snippets.

Two Brothers? I remember getting it from some bundle I think, liked the GB aethetics, then found out it was never finished before being apparently abandoned? Why refer to it in another game? Or did he go back and finish it some long rear end time after?

e: IIRC it was unplayably unfinished, you couldn't really do anything

Hopepunk seems tautological. Like the very essence of *-punk is that there's a core of rebels fighting against the Man to give people hope down here in the bottom of this Pandora's Box. If your punk prefix is hope, it just feels like you're smoldering with generic rebellion.

Not always, in Steampunk you're the Man, with steam magitech and gears/cogs on everything.

Thank you for reminding me that a Civil War game is called War of Rights lol.

They have a special steam subforum for "historical discussions" and as you can guess more than half the threads (only 15 in total to be fair, 2 of which at least are some dude posting in the wrong place) are Confederacy apologia.
