The Tiger crying because she's always breaking down was the most obvious joke but I thought it was hilarious.

To make it even worse, when AC1 eventually came to PS3 trophies didn't exist yet so those flags did literally nothing.

Achievements don't even add to your steam level, so there isn't even that primal instinct to make numbers go higher going for them :psyduck:.

Like I like achievements when they make me do weird poo poo (except EU4, gently caress you Sunset invasion I wasted far too many weekends trying to get you :argh:) or reward me for doing something hard but whether or not a game has achievements isnt going to be the be all end all for me, theyre at best a nice, tertiary feature to work for. Key word, work for, if it is for just doing poo poo like beating the tutorial then I'm not going to care.

IF Bubsy could get a reboot

I refuse to believe thats real. Bubsy is what disappointment is made of.

When I was 6, I really wanted a playstation just to play any of the Crash Bandicoot games. I thought it was the coolest game ever made and the playstation was the coolest system ever, it played CDs! So what if it was a few years old and the N64 had just come out, mario wasnt as cool as crash. My dad got me a playstation that year as a combined christmas/birthday present but with Bubsy 3D instead and to this day I am convinced he did it on purpose.

Thats my story and I assume that it is the most positive experience anyone ever had with bubsy.

I understood none of that one-sentence summary, apart from things like "November 2016" and "long and prosperous future."

It's based on 4chan's* version of SS13, BYOND is the engine the original is in and they somehow got that spaghetti mess of a game ported over to Unity.

I'm kind of curious, since steam has no curation at all, what does it take to actually get removed from steam? I remember way back in the day, Stalin vs Martians was taken down for being completely terrible but it looks like a piece of art compared to these asset flips.

The pinnacle of AI is Serious Sam's "gently caress it, just charge" method. Sometimes I don't want to think, I just want to shoot lots of dudes and if they hide it means I have to waste time flushing them out of cover, which is time spent not murdering dudes.

The original 2 Megami Tensei are based off of a book trilogy as well, but we're very far removed from that source at this point. There are still some influences in the main series (off the top of my head, demons being summoned via computer program is the plot of the first book) but the original author had very little to do with the adaptation.

Valve's internal politics are absolutely fascinating to me - or at least what little we know about them. It apparently REALLY sucks to work there, you have to be constantly watching your back more than you actually concentrate on doing good work. I can't wait for a tell-all book years from now.

I remember people told me I was just a conformist when I said that a flat structure is a terrible way to actually get things done, but now look who's right:smuggo:

Also I would love for a Master's of Doom-style book for Valve, there might not be as much of a "deuteragonists" like Carmack and Romero, but what little I've heard about the backroom politicking at valve makes it sound like a soap opera with nerds.
