Quad posted:So, ok, there's about 1,000 anime visual novel games on Steam. Try Hustle Cat and Butterfly Soup. The latter is free and neither of them has gross porn/smut to get in the way of telling a good story with endearing characters. Also Butterfly Soup is legit very funny in a 'embarrass yourself in public busting a gut' kinda way. That's my (sorta) anime visual novel recommendation. I guess it might not count if you mean only japanese VNs.

Considering how little of it there is and how it's all pretty dang PG-13 about it, I can't imagine anyone actually played Kindred Spirit for the sex scenes instead of the gayness, good writing and interesting characters. But what do I know, the internet's a weird place.
