Stockpiling weapons doesn't really make a lot of sense but it's just good sense to own a rifle, pistol, and shotgun.

Hey man all you really need is a rifle in 556 or 300 BO, a 12 gauge, and a decent .40 or 9 pistol, and you're fine. That really sucks. Ask in TFR's question threads if there are folks in your area that will take you shooting - there used to be a "newbie patrol" thread with a good number of volunteers but I think that fell into the archives a long time back.

There's also the tfr goon map thread, might find someone there.

Put a couple hundred through it yesterday at an indoor range to get it at least somewhat sighted in. It shoots nicely. I'd forgotten how loving loud AR15's are.
