You tolerated it a lot longer than me. I wonder if it's an age thing. By the time the bad seasons were really ramping up I was off at college and just couldn't force myself to waste time watching an obviously declining show.

S1 - solid but tonally very different. Interesting as a historical note due to how different it was from other shows and it being the first prime time animated show in decades. Not particularly funny but still worth revisiting. I'd say it's funny like king of the hill is funny. Sharp satire and situations and interactions that are funny, but not much clever wordplay or joke-jokes.
2 - transition period. Characters are better formed, great jokes, a lot of heart
3-7 - perfect. Infinitely rewatchable and still makes me laugh despite knowing every line by heart. Season 3 gets an automatic inclusion for Homer at the Bat, which may be the best episode of the show (and I don't even like baseball)
8-9 - slightly less perfect. Jerk rear end Homer arrives, Lisa becomes a one-note character. Weird, stupid plots start to come to the forefront but at salvaged by consistently great jokes
10 - season 9 but with worse writing and awful plots. Outright celebrity worship begins to ramp up
11 - episodes are largely atrocious but contain one or two solid jokes. Contains two of the worst episodes of the series which is saying a lot
12-13 - no. A solid gag every few episodes. Not worth it
14+ - the abyss of poo poo I refuse to subject myself to except for when torturing my wife

which season 11 eps do u consider that bad?
