I don't know about about scripted but the patriots get every call to go their way while the game is still in question. After they have a large enough lead and the opposing team has lost all will to live the refs will start making up some calls against the pats so the final box score looks even on penalties. The sad part is the Pats don't usually need any help, but they get it anyway. The Pats would not have blown out the Bills either game this year, or blown out the Titans this weekend if the refs didn't favor them so heavily. Would the pats have won all 3 of those games without the refs help? 99.9% yes, but the outcome would still have at least been in question for another quarter of football. Dropped TD pass by Brandin cooks against Houston confirmed as a TD. Pats win ASJ "fumbles td out of the endzone" Pats win Steelers TD becomes incomplete catch. Pats win Bills TD becomes incomplete catch, Pats go on the win in a blowout, instead of being down at halftime.
