I have to say anyone who watched without 5.1 surround sound really missed it out in the astral plane scenes.

The constant crackling of ice that surrounded you was really immersive.

If this show doesn't win an Emmy for sound mixing, it will be a travesty. I've never heard a soundtrack like this on TV.

Ptonomy was sidelined last episode being forced to watch his mother die over and over.

I assume he wasn't needed for the final plan to break everyone out and snapped out of it when they did.

Between the conversation in the woods with Syd and the conversation with the Shadow King in his head, David will likely still be very mentally ill. This is just a relative calm after freeing himself of the Shadow King. I think he's still going to struggle with what's real and what isn't real and now he doesn't have a parasite that has a self preservation instinct riding shotgun in his head.

Based on various comments from Hawley, I think the only way we'll see Xavier on the show is if it's Patrick Stewart or James McAvoy.

Also, the situation was different. In the first season, he was inside David's head while now he's inside Oliver. It stands to reason that he's using a different method of manipulation after he got expelled from the most power mutant ever.
