Yeah I'm sad that it sounds like it will be thrown into the trash after ASL Hopefully they can keep it in while making a few small changes (like removing the hidden turrets in the naturals, which was an interesting idea but doesn't seem to add much)

It's a nerf to Protoss and to a lesser extent Terran by forcing them to put their gathering building off-center. I've really enjoyed the games on Inner Coven more than any other map so far. and I was definitely wrong about it being a bad zerg map but now I think it's a bad terran map, 2 hatch muta seems brutal and zero basically had to throw to lose to Barracks. Even if they get rid of it someone in ASL seems to really want to make island maps work so I'm sure we'll get another just crazy map. Also I still hope they won't get rid of it, I've really enjoyed the gameplay

No, asl is going to continue because it only takes a few people to put on and the overall trend of covid rn in korea is that it's being well managed and isn't growing exponentially (or quadratically, more precisely)
