I wanted to play RE8 until I got to the part in the demo where you're slowly moving forward to see the invincible chaser enemy leave the room unaware of your presence and hey I've played this game already with the 3D models switched and the merchant referencing ARE YOU BUYIN was a bit eyerolly

The only invincible chaser I've ever liked is Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 Remake. Unlike the others he's not the primary challenge, he's not a one hit kill, he obeys simple rules, you don't need to hide from him, you already have mastered the layout of the area he spawns into and once you finish that zone thats it, you're done you never go back and deal with him again (unless Leon in which case you get a like 2 room chase with him)

Lmao the ending boss of re8 is hilarious. Spoiling for courtesy.... some crazy trapper keeper mutant turns into a big metal robot and you are in a tank shooting him with machine guns and the game literally puts up a prompt telling you to use the tanks missile launcher whenever its needed, then when he blows up the tank he just listly sits there throwing out one liners expecting you to shoot him in the head until the inevitable QuickTime event. Are game designers even trying anymore?

Is 7 the one where you go to the house of a thousand corpses to get your gf after she tells you not to? That one gave my wife motion sickness so stopped playing it. Right up until the dad was chasing me around the house it was really cool and spooky, but then at that point I couldn't find the hatch in the floor for a bit, and it was just SUPER loving frustrating having him lumbering around, and all the fear factor dropped out the floor. I thought the scene with the car in the garage was cool. Very typical 'rolleyes horror' stuff, but in a good way. I can see it had the potential to be a really awesome fun romp.

Resident Evil 6 is one of the worst "feeling" games I've ever played. Not in a way that made it unenjoyable, just it felt like schoolchildren programmed it or something. I dunno. Its pretty low quality
