So thread, I'm thinking of just throwing together a Kaban cosplay for Otakon because there's bound to be a billion dudes doing it and I might as well latch onto the bandwagon. My wife is toying with putting an outfit together.
She can sew, and she'll tolerate a wig if it's short, but help me think of Friends that she can go as that aren't Serval or Fennec (already on the table as options). Difficulty level: preferably an outfit that can be worn on a Metro train to/from the convention with props/accessories in a bag.

「けものフレンズ」に関しまして、すでに新規映像化プロジェクトの制作を発表させていただいておりますが、発表当初より同体制での継続か、新体制での新たな表現かも合わせて検討中で、現時点においてもまだ何も決定していない状況です。
そのような中、今年１月～３月に放送されたＴＶアニメーションと同様の体制を優先として、視聴者のご期待に沿えるべく調整をしておりましたが、アニメーション制作会社であるヤオヨロズ株式会社より８月に入った段階で辞退したい旨の話を受け、制作体制を一から模索することになっているのが現状です。
「けものフレンズ」は動物ファーストの理念のもと、関わってくださったすべての方々の手によってゲーム、コミック、アニメ、舞台と展開して参りました。広く門戸を開放し、理念に賛同していただける方々のお力添えをいただき、世界を広げていきたい。そのために誰のものでもないプロジェクトとして、動物のための「けものフレンズ」として活動を重ねて参りました。
しかし、アニメーション制作を担当していただきましたヤオヨロズ株式会社には、関係各所への情報共有や連絡がないままでの作品利用がありました。映像化プロジェクトとしては次回の制作を引き続きお願いしたかったため、情報は事前に共有してほしい旨の正常化を図る申し入れをさせていただきましたが、ヤオヨロズ株式会社からは、その条件は受け入れられないので辞退したい、とのお返事でございました。
「けものフレンズ」の映像化プロジェクトに関しては、上記のような経緯で一部滞っておりますが、「けものフレンズプロジェクト」は今後も御協力をいただく皆様と共に作品を守り、ファンを守り、動物たちのことをもっと知ってもらう活動をこれからも初志貫徹、続けていく所存です。映像化に関しましても、改めて、そしてできるだけ早くご報告できるよう進めて参ります。
今後とも様々な「けものフレンズプロジェクト」をよろしくお願いします。

The original setup based on the original TV animation run of January-March had priority, and we wanted to adjust based on customer expectation, but Yaoyorozu animation studio turned down the offer to take part in this, so the committee is now looking into how to proceed with the production.
Kemono Friends is made with “animal first” in mind, and encompasses the work of many people who are involved with games, manga, anime and stage plays. We’ve opened our doors to anyone who share this philosophy in taking part in expanding this world. Kemono Friends as such is not a project that belongs to any single person, as it is “Kemono Friends” for the animals.
However, Yaoyorozu studio chose to utilize the project’s intellectual property on its own without having informed or shared the news with the committee. The committee has hoped to continue the partnership with the studio and we have asked for normalize full information sharing from the party in advance, but Yaoyorozu would not accept these conditions, and have asked to be withdrawn from the project.
The above is the reason why the animation project of “Kemono Friends” have come to a partial halt. As mentioned above, Kemono Friends Project will continue to work in protecting this work, protecting the fans, the animals as we hold true to the original aim of the project. We will update everyone on the situation of the new animation project at the earliest possible date.
We ask that you continue to support Kemono Friends Project as we move forward.

I read it more as "we initially gave them a lot of open reign on what they can do but now we wanted them to agree to be completely under our control but they refused."
Also "and we wanted to adjust based on customer expectation, but Yaoyorozu animation studio turned down the offer to take part in this" literally reads as them wanting to put some stupid bullshit in s2 but yaoyorozu refusing.

The dialogue in that video is way too meta to be whatever Yaoyorozu is making next. it's more likely just a hobby short like the station master videos.

I've been trying to ignore KF2 but from what I've heard of these last three episodes I think season 2 should be considered actual malicious intent.
