It was loving nuts trying to find anything in your area, and people were bitching about how unfair it was to see raids across town (like a 35 min drive, longer if going not directly west or east, but south or north as well). So the mods split it by area, the way every city this size has different named areas. Some of the same people freaked. There was another, better split, just divide the city into six roughly equal chunks plus each chunk has a level 5 channel, a level 4 channel. And a level 1-3 channel a few days later, and people lost their poo poo. The #1 admin got "fuk u bitch" hate mail. There's an announcement channel (apparently our Discord is bigger than the ones in Denver and Chicago, so I have no issue with an announcements channel) and earlier today the #admin posted "if you use discord info to harass other players you'll be banned." What the gently caress. There was also the guy who was going bat poo poo mouth-froth crazy about "spoofers" healing their Pokemon after remote berrying became possible, that was amazing. He first wanted them banned because they were driving and he was walking. It wasn't fair. Then the spoofing thing. He made noise about leaving the sever and quitting the game, but is still there. Oh, also the people who repeatedly left middle-finger reactions to mod announcements they didn't like and then were surprised they got kicked. poo poo's entertaining. Oh and the people who think the admin can make the game stop erring out or whatever.

There was no promotion for this poo poo at all. If Niantic have released a release even a week ago, I could have gone, I could have arranged transportation for this. It's like they want to make amends for Chicago but still gently caress it up every step of the way. Maybe if we don't tell anybody no one will show up?

Did my first solo Machamp raid today, and it was a success! Charge move was Close Combat, so I feel like I lucked out. *I highly suggest keeping Eevees that are close to lvl 30 (you'll know because they need 4500-5000 stardust to power up) and buddying up with them. Espeons are super good against Machamp (and others weak to Psychic moves). _____Team_____ Espeon______CP 2036 ATK 15 Conf/Fut Sight Espeon______CP 2400 ATK 9 Conf/Psybeam Espeon______CP 2478 ATK 15 Conf/Psybeam Dragonite____CP 2554 ATK 11 Dtail/Hurr Dragonite____CP 3204 ATK 14 Brth/Claw Lugia________CP 2030 ATK 15 Extra/Sky (didn't use) First Espeon proved to be a beast despite not being as big as I'd like. It helps that Future Sight is the best charge move. The other two were solid, but would've been better if not for the weakest move. Both Dragonites put in good work - the first doing more damage due to Hurricane - and the quickness of Dragon Breath was a big part of being able to close out the fight with 10 seconds to go. Poor Lugia didn't even step in! I imagine this would've gone even better if my current buddy Eevee (lvl 30 ATK 15) was walked enough to evolve first, but hey - that just gives me more confidence in future attempts.

Also, I think the Anaheim unowns spell WORLDS. I've never seen a C and everyone on my my local discord has some combination of WORLDS. Will be heading down there tomorrow to try and grab a few more. Will report back if the mystery is solved.

How picky are y'all about IVs when choosing what to evolve and power up? I'm sitting on 315 eevee candy because I've only been evolving the 80%+ ones, but that also means I've only evolved 3 eevees total.

IVs matter less than levels and stardust is a real limiting factor, so if you have one that's semi-decent IVs and already a decent level I'd go for it. No point having something at 100% IVs if you can't afford to level it enough to use in battle.

If it's way common hold out for more ideal evolves. Geodudes fall from the sky here so I've been holding out for a good one at lv25+. Got one today and it got mud/quake. He's in rock jail until the dogs come out. Did find a 14/14/15 larvitar at lv26 today. gently caress yes.

Thanks to my bladder being the size of a walnut and access to a tracker that gives you Google Map directions, I now have an "O" Unown to go with my "R" Unown. I can spell "Or." Also "Ro." Edit: there was an eight-day gap between Unown spawns in a metro area that's 130 square miles. Unless one spawned during the maybe 8 hours total the specific set of bots (or whatever I don't understand that how that poo poo works and don't know where to start learning) were down. Are they that rare? Also, people having begrudgingly started to accept the "don't push okay!" thing is bullshit. Although a lot of them think that.last push update patched it out. Not with the groups I've been raiding with in Seattle. I had to explain to people twice today what it was and my consensus on it(that it's bullshit but if that kind of throwing-salt-over-the-shoulder  makes people feel better I'm fine waiting. I however catch slow as poo poo on legendary raids because I'm patient and on more than one occasion I've had to be like "just go ahead and press okay" because I'd still have like 9 balls left. I have an almost 90% catch rate so  . Did two Ttar raids today with huge groups, caught both. an 85.6 and an 80. Not bad(Almost all of the ones I've gotten from raids have been low to mid 70's)

Had a group of about 6-8 people today, driving from raid to raid. Usually only 6 of us. We are all high level (36+). We did I think 20 raids. I walked away with 16 birds. Pretty decent I'd say. I find smaller groups have a much better catch rate than with a larger group.

Went 2 for 2 on Moltres today! My poor daughter didn't catch either one despite a bunch of excellent throws. How we we both ended up with a charge and fast TM, and she got enough rare candies to finally get her Alakazam, so she was pretty fired up. I just need that drat Unown now for a complete non-regional dex - the only ones to spawn near me in the last 7 days have been between 2 and 4AM 😔. Just give me a letter creature!!!
