FYI there’s a new ongoing H:ZD comic book coming out. 2nd issue came out yesterday. It’s set after the events of the first game and it follows Talanah and Aloy being best gals (but it seems to be mainly about Talanah)

Academically I understand that it was a late decision in the dev cycle to cut the romance options but I still love how there are a handful of characters who thirst for Aloy and her response is basically "Yeah, so anyway..." Erend and Varl, surely. Other than that probably Tanasha at least? Who knows? It's better without romance. Aloy is a fighter, not a lover.

Aloy is the only videogame protagonist who comes across to me as asexual as an orientation instead of asexual because that's not the focus of the game. Just completely uninterested responses to all sorts of various types of sexy trying to flirt with her.
