They said they were going to do private jets from Miami to this "private island" that's apparently actually a Sandal's Resort island and ended up with no money to run jets and it's turned into this weird Lord of the Flies thing where the tents are leftover garbage from hurricane relief efforts, the biggest acts pulled out ahead of time, and poo poo just kind of went insane. #FyreFestival is going insane on Twitter; if you scroll back about 900 posts you'll be into yesterday, when everything was pretty quiet and you can see all the tweets that were originally promoting the event and crowing over the line-up they were supposed to have. At first I wasn't thrilled by this meme, but as it's become a bit more abstract I'm really liking it. especially the Mars Attacks alien version. Where does this "Come back, bro!" thing come from? I've seen it mashed up with other memes but don't know the original reference (if there even was one).

Again, with the text not scanning to the original music. "This is my last resort" and "At this big rear end ski resort" don't have the same number of syllables. "Telepathy" and "Suffocation" don't have emphasis on the same syllables. First and last panels are cool, though.

As far as I (an American) have been able to tell, the only iterations of that show that have been funny are the Canadian one and the original Japanese show, "Documental". Every other one seems to have either just sucked or missed out on what was funny about the original.
