Commander! The campaign is over and now you can finally return to the capital city victorious! It had been nigh on two decades since you had last set eyes upon the shining marble streets of Kendron, the center of the world, and your desire to see the great castle at its heart and the King fills you with homesickness. While you had set out with your company a mere soldier, through your loyalty, skill and craft you have managed to rise within the ranks and to become one of the architects of the Kingdom’s grand expansion. A Grand Campaigner.

However your triumphal return wasn’t the only one being celebrated this year. Around the same time as your own crusade had been launched three others like it had been launched or were being waged and this year have seen their own commanders have returned to the capital victorious. The four leaders, the Grand Campaigners, have all been called to a council before the King. He now spends most of his time resting on his throne with no heir. Perhaps he will announce which of you has pleased him best and will become his successor?

But first, which force were you a part of again?

A) The Eastern Campaign: Was launched toward the temperate lands. The land was filled with large open plains that exaggerated the importance of cavalry. Soon nearly all of your troops were mounted and a soldier’s worth was measured in how well he could handle himself on a horse. [Cavalry, Cowboy] When you had finally achieved victory you found a new respect for the Eastern people. While at first you thought the nomads lives furtive and temporary over time you came to appreciate how their mobility let them to exchange luxuries from various parts of the vast plains and they had a great gift for negotiating. [Trading]

B) The Northern Campaign: Was launched toward the great sea to the North. While the central Kingdom had great lakes you had never seen the like of the great unbounded sea. The people called it their bitch mother who was as likely to snap at them as to nurse them. Your troops had to commandeer and build ships to travel between the various island nations. [Seafarer, Swashbuckler] As you consolidated your control over the chains of islands you came to appreciate the amazing feats of construction those who lived on the sea managed. Through carpentry and metalwork they had built fortress on outcrops of rock and constructed ships that were fearsome engines of war. [Engineering]

C) The Southern Campaign: Was launched toward the frozen lands. It was rough work advancing through snowfields and mountains. Perhaps more than any other campaign this one seemed likely to fail due to the human costs of the environment. But those who survived grew stronger in mind and body. No matter what the weather threw at them or how deeply entrenched the position they assaulted the troops never gave up. It was hard won but eventually the Southern people recognised the unstoppable strength of the Kingdom. [Tough, Powerhouse] When the battles were won it was discovered that the mountains themselves were filled with allows and jewels of untold value to the aristocracy of the Kingdom. At least it would be if the people who lived on the mountains or snowfields actually valued them for anything beyond their immediate practical value. [Wealth]

D) The Western Campaign: Was launched toward the dark lands . Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas consectetur blandit mollis. Sed euismod nisi in leo gravida egestas. [Mysterious, Stealthy] Quisque malesuada, magna vel fringilla sollicitudin, purus dui tempus mauris, vitae hendrerit ante ligula eget diam. Nullam gravida neque non neque imperdiet venenatis. [Magic?]

Welcome to the Four Part Kingdom! Our first choice is which force our character has been become the Grand Campaigner for. Your character and their forces will gain the first two characteristics listed in [brackets, brackets] while the land that you are de facto ruler of naturally has the advantage listed third in [brackets]. Also please vote whether our character is

Male or Female.

and a

Name

Then if you feel like it you can post a picture of what our grand campaigner. They don’t necessarily have to be very old as it's plausible that you stowed away as a 10 year old since each campaign is unbelievably huge in scope. I’m imagining something like the Assyrian or Persian empire in scale so perhaps each campaign was 100,000 soldiers strong (but technology will be low fantasy in nature).

The characters who are not chosen will be your counterparts so I may use ideas for characters apart from the winner.

You, Antonius Agrippa, known as “the Hurricane” to your men, have returned from the decades long campaign to the North! As you had advanced through the initial territory and then onto the sea itself and the island chains your army had gradually settled that wild land. When you finally return to Kenron you bring a token force of 20,000 troops as an escort. Of these the lion’s share stay outside the city on its Northern side. Your scouts tell you that the other three grand campaigner’s forces have also recently settled their own token forces on the other three sides of the city.

To the East they report that there seem to be as many horses as men. The people wear light clothing and billowing robes and turbans. The atmosphere of the camp seems playful as groups race their horses or merely enjoying parading around in the sun. You would expect the camp to be disorderly with so many animals but strangely the people and the horses seem to live in very close harmony. It is said that the horses even eat from the same tables as the troops and sleep in tents with the troops themselves!

To the West they report that they could not truly draw particularly close. Although they didn’t try to sneak into the camp the scouts did try to observe them quietly. However when they drew close they were immediately approach by guards who were painted with pitch black paint. The scouts didn’t see them approaching but were firmly told to leave the area unless they had specific business with the camp. It seemed that from the distance that the number of tents that were set up couldn’t possibly contain the number of troops that must be present.

To the South they report that there is already a stone fortress being erected. It seems that the Southmen had each carried a massive stone on his back from the mountains which they were now assembling to create a temporary fortress. The people themselves seemed very regimented, moving from task to task with great purpose and efficiency and paying little attention to the scouts, allowing them to ride through unhindered.

On the Northern side of the city sits a river that connects Kendron to the great lake Ikthyon which itself is connected to the great Northern Lupine sea. Your own men had sailed barges and some of your own warships all the way here to the city. Your ships’ sails had all been dyed the colour purple, the color of divinity, in honor of your triumphal return and from the city it seemed like the river itself had turned purple. The engineers quickly broke apart the barges and used the wood to begin establishing something not dissimilar to one of your port towns. As part of the celebrations you had allowed free rum rationing and so many of the new wooden buildings had become public houses where your troops, some of whom had never been to Kendron, make haste in beginning the party.

After your camp is established a delegate from the court comes and informs you that your triumphal entry would be held in three days time.

1: You decide to...

A) Pull out all the stops. Come in with a bang. Mount one of your ships on wheels and roll it in. Drag a sea monster behind it. Have your troops demonstrate the agility necessary to sail and fight on the merciless sea. [Impressive]
B) Come in humbly. You are just another citizen of the Kingdom who has done their duty. Your people will try and maintain a sense of decorum and allow the people to shower you with as much praise as they fit to. [Humble]
C) We don’t have time for such pageantry and nonsense. We will merely walk in and make our way straight to the castle for our audience with the King! [No tag but you can write in some other way to use the three days preparation]

The question also stands as to how do you bring in your captive. The last Captain you had conquered. Wait, how had you managed to conquer the great Lupine sea?

2*: You…
A) Came, saw and conquered. You crushed all opposition and all the peoples of the North know you as merciless foe. You threw your troops into battle and through sheer force managed to batter down all opposition. Your troops are unfeigningly loyal and see you as almost godlike. You drag in the last Captain of the resistance in chains, a broken wreck.
B) Waged a tactical conflict. It was slow going as you made your maps and tried to understand the ways of the Northern people. However you were able to understand their weaknesses. You turned those who were cowardly with gold and drew those stronger than you into battles where your own strengths shone through. Your troops prioritise their independence and decision making. The last Captain surrendered to you as they realised that you had defeated them before the last battle began. You bring them in with some of their own guard as a loyal vassal.
C) Became a Northerner. At first your troops had struggled. There had been no true navy in the Kingdom and so they had been easily defeated by the various fleets. You had quickly realised that your Kingdom style of fighting was useless on the high sea and so you had quickly adopted advisors and promoted local talent. These men had assimilated into your units and soon your own people were honouring the culture and the Lupine as their own mother. You co-operated with the last captain and they ride with you in the triumph as your closest adviser.
D) Used some other combination. Perhaps you were forceful but raised up the last captain as your new co-commander. Maybe you were tactical but merciless in crushing the last Captain and establishing yourself as the sole power in the North.

*Addendum Maybe I should have split 2 into two options. I think the idea I was going for was offering a combination of

The conflict:
A) 100% Domination: You completely overwhelm the North at the expense of troop losses. You attempt to conform the North to the empires standards.
B) 50/50 Conflict/Compromise: You take a longer time to defeat your opponents but develop working relationships with the Northerners. In this scenario you seek to retain your own empire values but to co-operate with the locals.
C) 100% Assimilation: You give up on your background. You embrace the Northerners ways of doing things. Essentially you become a leader much like the leaders they already have.

Then post conflict relations:
A) You brook no opposition and all must conform to your directives.
B) You allow local autonomy but demand allegiance to your decrees.
C) You may be the head honcho but people you view you more as the first among equals.

Obviously AA and CC match better than AC and CA but I could see an argument for AC where you crush the locals but then allow them to rebuild under the knowledge that you could crush them again if they rebel. Or CA where you brought all the people's together somewhat deceptively and then turned the region into a tyranny with the local leaders becoming your puppets. I'll add these notes to the post.

3: As for the last Captain, the were known as:

A) Captain Harold Hart. The man had an almost prescient sense of timing. Avoiding your ambushes, appearing out of fog, he seemed to even dodge lightning bolts in storms!

B) Captain Jin: When you thought you would divide and conquer she managed to unite and oppose. With only her pen she had managed to turn many easy conflicts into drawn out battles.

C) Mad Captain Edgar: A demon. Unreasonable. Unstoppable. His flag alone put fear into the hearts of the staunchest seamen. Even when you finally sank his ship you could swear he swam to the hull of your flagship and began attacking it with his cutlass.

D) Captain Victoire Treeisle: Her men are impeccably drilled. Her ships fired broadsides at an alarming rate and her troops fought until only exhaustion could claim them.

We kept our culture and overall command structure but brought in local talent wherever possible to adapt to the new ways of sea battle and learn of the new peoples we encountered. Wherever possible we gave generous terms of surrender to make foes into vassals and mercenaries into loyalists, but the punishments for defying our largess were equally as merciless -- by commission, coin or cannon, we seized these lands. By the time we reached the last Captain of the North she approached us under a flag of truce and we sailed on to final victory, a comrade in arms by our side in the triumph.

D) Captain Victoire Treeisle: Her men are impeccably drilled. Her ships fired broadsides at an alarming rate and her troops fought until only exhaustion could claim them.

Looks like it's close between BA and BB.

BA: Through tactics and compromise Agrippa managed to win the Northern campaign and now rules over the territory with an iron fist.
BB: Through tactics and compromise Agrippa managed to win the Northern campaign and now has organised the local governments under his administration while allowing them local autonomy.

The choice you make will affect how Captain Treeisle views you (either as a dictator or as her liege). Simply put, the more control you have over the Northern territory the more you would expect Kingdom citizens to be pleased but the more autonomy you offer them the more the Northern peoples will be pleased.

When the day of the Triumphal Procession arrives the city is in a fever pitch. By now this is the fourth such procession they’ve seen in the space of a year and so expectations are high as to how you will impress them. People clamour in the street for the best places along the main thoroughfare leading into the city. Children climb walls and perch off of balconies whose owners are too filled with good cheer to push them off. Wine flows so freely in the crowds that the amount spilled fills the gutters and makes them seem to be flowing with blood and the noise of people shouting over one another is deafening.

That is until from outside the city there is a deafening thunder. At first the streets go quiet as people react with fear to the tremendous sound that shakes the Earth itself. Another volley and the people break from their conversations to face the source of the cacophany just outside the gates. Those closest to the gates burst into applause as they see the first part of your parade.

Your engineers had worked hard to erect pulleys to draw the largest warship you could fit into the river out and onto a frame with wheels. The deafening sound was one of the broadsides of your cannon firing. As the ships rolls into the city the people gawp in amazement. None of them have ever seen such a massive moving construction before and the massive guns hanging from the sides radiate terrifying power. As the ships rolls along your troops burst from the rigging and swing around the ship on long ropes through the air executing death defying somersaults. Each swing and leap is filled with superhuman power and grace. These performer throw skins of grog into the crowd, allowing these landlubbers to taste some of the potent brew that fuels your great fleet. But what the people don’t see hidden behind the ships is even more terrifying than the cannons.

From behind the ship a mighty voice as great as the cannon sounds forth. The onlookers reel back from the terrifying creature that is chained behind the ship. The sea emperor is far larger than any land predator and with its tentacles, multiple heads and slimey hide is unlike anything the people of Kendron have ever seen. It thrashes and screams its fury but due to the clever network of chains designed by your men any attempt at escape merely binds and chokes it painfully. The monsters rage is great but it shirks back from driving the life from its own body and so proceeds grudgingly submitting to the stares of the citizens of the Kingdom.

Behind the monster come the hostages from the North and at their head Captain Victoire Treeisle. The people jeer and boo, throwing trash and baring their buttocks at the defeated enemies of the Kingdom. Among the captives are seamen from the various islands in their local dress. Some wear only loinclothes, while other daughters of nobility are dressed in tattered silks. Even though the people treat them with contempt the soldiers manage to hold themselves with dignity. Especially Victoire herself and her impeccably trained troops. Apart from the shackles you might think that they were marching on display. Their step never falters and despite the rough journey they have all kept their hair carefully cropped and their cheeks shorn. They are driven from behind by the cream of the crop of your own troops.

The Campaigners Guard are your most loyal veterans. Not only educated with the finest of Kingdom strategy but also having learnt from the best Northern captains and sailors the way of the sea. They seem comfortable with any weapon and despite the light clothing they wear you know that would be equally at home in Knight’s armor. The people watching naturally straighten up and salute the sons and daughters of the Kingdom who have given up much of their lives to further the prosperity of the citizens here. They declare,

“Make way for the Great Campaigner of the North, Antonius Agrippa!”

At last you enter in the traditional chariot of a returning general. A woman leads the chariot wearing decorative wings and a white toga, declaring that heaven itself has led you back home. You are adorned in a purple toga that only a returning general or the king is permitted to wear and your face is painted a vivid blood red. The people cry out,

“Our Campaigner! We honor you!”

Then bow themselves as your chariot passes. You wave magnanimously and feel your heart swell. All the years of effort you pursued the good of the empire, and in fact enjoyed the work of the campaign for itself. But to be welcomed home and honored as such fills you with a new sense of pride for what has been achieved. Surely now the Kingdom covers the whole of the known lands and there could be no rival. Well unless what you suspect is true.

1. What secret do you know?
A) Something lies deep beneath the waves of the Lupine sea that could be a great threat or boon to the empire.
B) Your ships that have ranged farthest have found evidence that there is another land beyond the sea. What peoples or monsters might lurk there no one knows.
C) During your time sailing the sea you felt a sense of communion with something divine. You always thought that the King was imbued with divine power by his throne which extended to the Kingdom but perhaps there are other sources of such power.
D) Write in.

The procession winds through the streets that lead up to the Kendron Citadel and in the great square the fruits of your victory are arrayed before the people. You reach take the staff that the angel driving the chariot had been holding. The wings of the eagles are sharpened to an axes edge and you make your way to the monster you have brought. The engineers tighten the chains once more and you stand over it holding the staff high. Once more the warship lets loose a might volley over the roofs of the city and in the moment that the beast is distracted you bring down your weapon and behead it splaying black blood over the ground. Sailors swing down and begin butchering the thing and begin handing out its flesh to the people of the city to enjoy.

Next you come to the captives and their leader Captain Victoire. She looks you straight in the eyes defiantly before she gives you the slightest of nods. You whip your hand behind you then deliver a shattering backhand across her jaw. The people cheer as she drops to one knee before you. You pause a moment allowing the people to savour the moment before you reach down with your other hand. You lock arms and draw her to her unsteady feet. Stepping back you raise the staff once more and the people go quiet.

But this time you bring the staff down strike the chains and set her free. Despite the blow you struck her she doesn’t let out a sound of discomfort though you see the pain clouding her eyes. With great self possession she takes three steps into a position slightly behind you to your right. You can see the crowd cheering but some people seem disappointed that you hadn’t struck her like the monster.

Together you ascend the steps to the citadel. No one is allowed to enter except by the King’s explicit permission and outside the King’s Paladins stand guard. You and Victoire ascend alone to the conclave of campaigners and the Paladins open the doors. Inside is pitch black but you step through confident that no harm could befall you here at the heart of the Kingdom. As you step through the blackness you feel a shudder and find yourself in the throneroom on the other side.

The first thing you see is a massive table which five figures sit looking back at you.

A man in the turban’s head is tilted slightly and you rests one arm on the table drumming an idle syncopated rhythm. His eyes are watching you closely.

A muscular, large woman sits holding a leg of lamb. She nods at you as you enter but continues her meal unconcerned.

A woman whose skin is painted white and wears a strange eyeless helmet sits with a huge black knight behind her. His size is beyond any human you’ve ever seen before. You are unsure if she even acknowledges you.

Sitting across the table from these three are a woman who turns to you but her eyes stare sightlessly through you. You recognise her garb and headdress as that of the chief of the Kingdom’s religion. You suppose she must then be blind.

Beside her is a man dressed in clothes that shimmer in the light from the windows. He smiles in your direction and you recognise the cane he holds as the symbol of office for the master of guilds.

Beyond the table are the steps to the King’s throne.

Beside the decomposing body on the King’s throne is a smaller throne designed for the person most favoured by the King, be it the Queen, a cosort, a courtier or advisor.

The woman sitting on it looks at you with a slight smirk.

“Great Campaigner! I’m distressed to inform you that the King is dead. Would you join us at the table to discuss what’s next?”

How do you react:

2. On the surface:
A) Devastated.
B) Surprised but containing my grief.
C) Unphased.
D) Angry. Demand an explanation.
Write in.

3. Truly:
[
b]A) [/b]My heart drops into my stomach. My mouth tastes like ash. Time stands still.
B) Think fast. I should have suspected my autonomy was because there was no leadership.
C) Blank. Let’s wait and see what’s happening.
D) Write in.

How you react to the news will affect your relationship with everyone in the room differently.

Looks like ABB is our winner. As for the secret, think of it as your Ace in the Hole. At some point in the game you can reveal your secret to swerve a decision (and potentially the game) in a new direction. It could be some kind of new resource, it could be an underwater civilisation, it could be a Godzilla-like natural disaster, it could be some nightmarish abomination from the dawn of time. Until you decide a good way to use it it's is Heisenberg's uncertain secret. In fact you'll even have a chance to cash it in next update!

[draft post, please forgive typos etc!]

quote:

The woman sitting on it looks at you with a slight smirk.

“Great Campaigner! I’m distressed to inform you that the King is dead. Would you join us at the table to discuss what’s next?”

Your eyes widen in shock at the pile of rotting bones residing in the most holy place of the Kingdom. The moment you have waited on for years, the feel of your knee on the granite, the warm palm of the King’s beneficent hand resting on your head, you feel your hopes shrivel within your breast like a letter in the fire. The mummified presence on the throne radiates dread but the others in the room seemed if not comfortable, used to its presence.

“Sorry to shock you like this but the King’s… situation… is highly sensitive. In his stead I have been administering the land with my colleagues. I am the Queen Consort, Hagema Goldblood.”

Retaining her poise she rises up from the smaller throne and sweeps down the stairs to the round table. With every step her platinum blonde hair sways, ornate pieces of gold and silver jewelry enclosing rubies, and diamonds sound off each other creating a chaotic harmony. She takes her place between the Guildmaster and the High Priestess.

"I'm sure you may have questions but I ask for your patience. We have all been awaiting your arrival as we are at something of an impasse. Let me introduce the current council of the Kingdom. This is the High Priestess, Amami.”

The Priestess makes no motion to bow, but for a scant moment a smile plays across her features.

“To my left is the Lord Guardian, Master of Banks, Merchants, Unions and the University, Helmand Klaigin the fourth.”

Lord Klaigan IV, however, makes a deep practiced bow. Probably more than is strictly necessary for someone of your station.

“Campaigner, I applaud your great progress in the North. I have heard of your clever maneuvers on the field and around the negotiating table.”

He sighs heavily.

“I hope that your presence in this council room will finally help us break our impasse and allow us all to get back to the business of running this Kingdom!”

Hagema then turns and nods at the other three sitting around the table. They all seem a bit grudging to be following her lead but bite their tongues for the sake of keeping business moving. When they stand they all salute by clasp their hands in front of them.

“Grand Campaigner, Commander Mello Traxis, Tamer of the Wild Plains, Horse Lord, Bright as the Shining Sun, Known to all under the sky.”

Traxis smiles widely as his titles are announced. His chest swelling with each successive qualification.

“Grand Campaigner, Commander Fillaine Goldblood, Queen of the Mountains, who holds the key of the eternal treasury, strongest of the race of man.”

Fillaine glares at Hagema. She wipes her mouth on her sleeve unceremoniously as her titles as read out.

“Grand Campaigner, Empty Voice.”

Hagema seems a bit disconcerted in not having a list of titles to announce the third campaigner. Empty Voice herself, besides the salute, is motionless. In order to break the awkward pause Hagema turns to you.

“And you, Grand Campaigner, Antonius Agrippa, what titles have you earned up North.

1 Choose how many titles will you be known by?
A No titles. Like Empty Voice, my own name is enough (Also highly unorthodox and weird).
B One title is enough for me. (Humble but striking if it’s a good title. Who remembers the whole list except for people like Hagema?)
C Three titles I’ve earned them. (You want people to get an idea of who you are and what you’ve done)
D Six titles, I’ll show that Traxis who’s the Grandest Campaigner! (Ostentatious, potentially laughable decision)

With the introductions finished you all make your way to the table and sit down. Hagema nods at Amami. Who stands and begins intoning in a voice well suited to ritual chant.

“The King passed on to the divine throne room ten years ago. Since that time we three stewards of Kendron have maintained his authority and grace over the Kingdom until a suitable inheritor would show themself. It is truly the hand of our heavenly King that has brought his four dearest children back to himself so that the Kingdom could enter a new aeon of peace and prosperity. Let us pray the King’s hand allow us to each wield the divine authority granted us to choose the successor…”

Lord Klaigan coughs.

“Hach! Ahough! A-ahem! One moment please, if you will permit High Priestess. I feel that we mortals are weak in the flesh and our hearts are liable to wander. We have prayed many times over the last months’ meetings. Please do intercede for us but while you do so let me summarise our… state of affairs.”

Amami pauses then sits down and bowing her head, begins a low musical chant. It’s rather soothing and reminds you of fine vocal performances you have been audience to on islands that capitulated to your army. Lord Klaigan stands.

“While of course we do seek the rightful heir that the King is clearly guiding us toward, it’s not quite true that we waited for all the divine authority to be… gathered. Before you came there were two proposal at something of a deadlock. You see our dearly departed King was a Goldblood. His Queen Consort...”

He bows toward Hagema who gives him a steely glare.

“...thought it natural that she should continue the King’s policies. This would be a fine way to continue had you all been here to approve it but the Priestess and I thought it hasty to approve such a measure when the masters of our armed forces were abroad. It was when Campaigner Goldblood returned from her campaign that we discovered that she was an… illegitimate... child of the late King and also wished to state her desire to continue the King’s mighty legacy. Soon after Campaigner Traxis and Campaigner Empty Voice returned. Unfortunately the vote is currently split. While the Priestess and Campaigner Traxis support our Queen Consort’s claim. Myself and Campaigner Empty Voice have cast our votes to support Campaigner Goldblood. Since you have arrived I believe that we should take a moment and state our positions. My own opinion is that someone of the King’s blood and with a Campaigner’s experience would make a fine Monarch and ensue the least turbulent transition. I hope you agree.”

Hagema is about to stand when Fillaine bursts onto her feet and smashes her hand into the plate before her shattering it.

“Enough of you trollop! I will speak now and it is thy turn to listen.”

She casts a challenging look around the table to see if anyone will question her right but no one does. Amami continues her chant unphased.

“My father was King. I was driven from this land due to the manner of my birth but by the strength of my blood I have returned at the head of an army. You all should rightfully kneel before me and if you will not see that through sense then I will have you see it through force. Even now my forces strengthen their position and the friends of the King inside the city fortify their resolve. I do not wish for bloodshed but I have had to pay enough blood this lifetime that one more battle for my Kingdom holds no fear for me.”

With that she throws herself into her seat. Hagema rises slowly, her face painted with an understanding motherly smile.

“Campaigner Goldblood, my heart weeps for the injustices perpetuated upon you.”

Tears well in her eyes.

“But I just can’t support your claim. I knew the King better than anyone else here. He would be so proud to see how you’ve grown but he would also be saddened to see how you have been hardened by war. While you have done much for the Kingdom, the people need a shepherd and not a general to lead them. You four campaigners have brought us peace on every side. Now what we need is a leader who can gently guide the people through this new golden age. My people know me and I can gentle the shock of the King’s passing. This year we will mourn but from next year the Kingdom will see glory such as none of us could possibly imagine in this dark room.”

Hagema turns to Traxis and Amami seeking their approval. Amami nods in spite of her chanting and Traxis gives her speech a soft clap. She sits once more confident in her support and Lord Klaigan stands seemingly moved by her words.

“Beatiful speech Queen Consort. Well Campaigner Agrippa? Do you have an opinion?

Pro Queen’s Consort
Campaigner Traxis
High Priestess Amami

Pro Campaigner Goldblood
Lord Klaigan IV
Campaigner Empty Voice

2 Who do you support?
A Campaigner Fillaine Goldblood
B Queen’s C…

“Wait”

A quiet voice fills the room. You glance around as it feels like the words come from every direction. Empty Voice stands.

“There is another way the king might live again”

“BLASPHEMY!”

The High Priestess’s chanting tears into a scream as she jolts upright and glares at Empty Voice. Lord Klaigan staggers back almost toppling over his seat.

“L-ladies! Please contain yourselves! High Priestess, the Campaigner has a right to speak. No matter how odious it be to you. Please cede the floor!”

Lord Klaigan sits and The High Priestess stands breathing heavily for a few moments before settling into her own seat. Empty Voice continues.

“We all see how the King’s body is preserved but it is not dead it is waiting and we can breathe life into it again if we will pay the price”

Amami fumes. Hagema stares in disbelief. Lord Klaigan seems somewhat amused. Traxis is impassive. Fillaine shakes her head at a new frustrating distraction. Empty Voice sits down. Lord Klaigan gestures at you to stand.

Not casting a vote on 1 yet, but if we do opt for 1D let's go full Idi Amin here. Something like His Majesty's Master of Land and Sea, Lord Admiral Commander Antonius Agrippa, Scourge of the Dread Fleet, Undefeated Of The North, Sea-Reaver in General And Slayer of the Great Sea Emperor In Particular, First Explorer and Last Conqueror of All the Oceans :patriot:

2C, intrigued but cautious. Just what does making the King live again entail?
