I say we pick up a few Frogfoots and Flankers. The Frogfoots will be indispensable if we are doing a lot of CAS, Flankers are a high end fighter if we expect to be facing a lot of Chinese fighters.

Lets get 2 F-4 Phantoms for SEAD duty, 2 UAVs and 2 SU-25 Frogfoots. I know it's mixing munitions but a dedicated CAS platform could really come in handy and save us in fuel costs over using multi-roles fighters that have to head back and re-arm. First chance to buy ammo we stock pile munitions for the Frogfoots to assure we get decent usage out of them.

Do we have running costs for the Phantoms? I think it would be a real bad idea to buy 8 of them, we'd barely have enough money left over to run them for a single mission.

Not sure if you're tallying previous votes but put me in for Option Phantom-Frog. I think it gives us a well rounded package with tons of CAS options and some BVR with the Phantoms. It also leaves us with ~$50 Million left over for munitions and future aircraft/SAM/Naval purchases. I think blowing nearly our entire budget in one round will severely limit us to be adaptable in the near future.

I don't think arms procurement is going to be a big of an issue as it seems. We can also stockpile munitions when the opportunity arises, completely blocking all non-NATO aircraft is gonna be a pain down the line when we are limited in what we can buy. Frogfoots provide a wealth of CAS options and for missions that pay out based on targets destroyed they could easily pay for themselves in no time. We could buy (3-4) F4-E's instead of only 2 in the Phantom-Frog package and that way we have some guaranteed SEAD aircraft to clear an AO before sending in the Frogfoots to loiter and destroy. Munitions for the Frogfoots should be pretty cheap as well when we have the opportunity to buy it.

I'm against blowing almost all our cash on a stockpile of 50 year old Phantoms who are mediocre at a few different roles vs picking up dedicated CAS platforms. It leaves us money to pick up some F16's if we come across them in the near future or perhaps a SAM unit to protect our assets.

Sucks we lost a Gripen but overall I'd say that was a success. We dealt a pretty big blow taking out the transports and frigate. I'm excited for our :frog:

Nice plan Bacarruda but I think the SU-25s should be used with anti-runway bombs instead of attacking TLA assests. Our only goal in this mission is to disable the airfield and we need to get that done.

Yeah it's a shame I think for $20 million the chances were pretty good we would be getting 6 or more planes which if anything just allows more hilarity in our race to become hated by every country on the planet.

we are about to hit a huge payday. I think the Indians will have air defenses at the Bhutan airfield too cover our planes and it's worth getting the firepower the SU-25s have available in the fight to rack up our bonus cash and insure we destroy the airfield.

I imagine China, a country with the largest standing army will better defend an airfield containing their top of the line J-20s. This isn't the Ugandan national guard. There is no way we would be able to take that air field.

This all hinges on us successfully taking over a Chinese military air field and they conveniently left the keys in the jets and we brought along pilots who just so happen to know how to fly Chinese fighters. All of this before the local garrison catches wind.
