Well, they can just can hitch along with Nill next offseason or so. They could try to repair the D corps with a few signings, but the picking are slim outside of shatty and Alzner, and either one would be expensive and loooong. I'm sure Nill is still fine with the worst goaltending in the league, so nothing matters there loving whatever. Team should be healthy next year, so should be a playoff threat again. Another year to spin the wheels and waste more Seguin/Benn prime. Hooray!

Neat. Considering they're a year removed from winning a strong west and they have a full slate in this year's draft including two firsts and one in the top three, I think they'll bounce back alright. I feel like bishop could go either way but he's definitely an upgrade. Now just spend a couple picks to get Vegas to take garbage Finn 1 or 2, sign, I dunno, orlov and another plug on D, and not have the whole team dead to start the season. Things trending up.

E ^^^- it was very soft and he didn't even react to it. Plus the whole play was possible in the first place because he made a poor decision to play the puck (and his defender coughed it up). Holtbys playoff numbers were pretty awful. He had some good games but just let in far too many softies. He finished 12th overall among the 16 starters. That's bad. The rest of the team had some sleepy moments, but overall they drove possession and got great looks. Just couldn't finish enough and got really lovely goaltending while running I to a stupidly hot fleury. Blaming an individual player is dumb bit if I had to point a finger I'm going with Holtby way before ovi. Orpik was pretty bad too. Comparing any hypothetical trade to the hall trade is dumb and you know it. Tanev is a boring, stay at home defenceman who'll put up, what 15 points a year? No one is dumb enough to trade a top 3 pick at that. More to the point, the Stars have enough picks to offer a 3rd or 4th rounder for someone to take one of the finns off their hands, but why bother? They're both off the books after next season and the stars are swimming in cap space.
